Default Two 55 Mens National Tournaments in September

I noticed the mens 55 national grass and clay court tournaments are during this month. That must be tough on those guys to play two national tournaments in the same month on completely different surfaces. You'd think the USTA would have spread them apart to give these older guys a break. I would think they'd need time to recover, travel, and adjust to a different surface.

Its a tough life for those rich retired international tennis playboys.

I'm sure they can handle it.

Yeah, that's pretty stupid if the USTA scheduled them the same month.

Actually I have very nice strokes, it's Salvador Dali who needs to get off the demonization of people who work for a living and are the foundation of this house of cards economy that is being quickly eroded by the current administration. I know a lot of Senior Age Group players and the vast majority are far from being "rich international playboys", as he slandered them.

You can call someone a moron.

You can call someone an idiot.

But please don't call him a moronic commie idiot. That's stepping over the line. Those cold war insults are like a dagger through the heart. You are lucky you didn't add "pinko" to that insult or I pretty sure fistacuffs might have been called for...

Calling somone "rich" in today's environment of class warfare IS political! I did't start it, I was just presenting the other side of the argument to keep things fair and balanced.

Congratulations on your 3,200th post on an intenet forum and your ability to have shielded yourself from witnessing anyone blow up. I don't care how stupid I may appear to you--this is an internet forum. So what do you thing of the stupid statement made by Salvador Dali--or do you agree with him? Stupidity is in the poor vision of the beholder.

I think Salvador Dali has a hard time reading a clock.

It is a very sad thing, though I'm not sure quite how, that being called a Rich International Playboy could be considered a bad thing.

I would like to be known as a Rich International Playboy!

LOL

Nice to meet you, my name is Rich, Internatonal Playboy.

For the love of Jesus and Mary Muppet, most of the dudes that come out for the Grass Nationals are retired dudes with nothing better to do than fly around with cocktails in their hand playing tennis tournaments.

It wasn't a political post on my part, I was just LOL'ing at the thought that these guys can't hack two tourneys in a month.

I know several nationally ranked 55s and they play like 2 hours a day and don't walk with a fricken cane.

Not sure what the big deal is. Wow, just wow, go Tom.

Beat his ***, he deserves it!

Screw Dali!

OK, after swallowing my bottle of Xanax I was saving for armageddon, JoelDali clarifying his intent, and affirming his belief in Jesus as his personal savior, I'll amend my posting. Playing on grass is nothing to be made light of whether it be the green kind or the medicinal sort. The word "rich" should also not be bandied about as they are an endangered species and will soon be extinct unless the government doesn't immediately take action to protect them. 92 weeks of unemployment, food stamps for everyone and SSI is definitely a step in the right direction to preserve a vestige of what remains of them.

Actually, I enjoy Joel's amusing contributions to the board. He is I'm sure at heart, a Progressive in the best sense of the word, seeking liberty and justice for all. (I would think being characterized as a "harmless troll" (edit: "benign troll"), would be much more offensive than being called "pink"). But, he must understand it is not easy to fly, hold a cocktail and play tennis, all at the same time. Whether we use the pejorative "rich", wealthy or my personal preference "old money", they just make it look easy. I used to be a bartender and have expertise in this area.

My humble apologies for misquoting you, in my defense, I'm still suffering from the deleterious effects of swallowing a bottle of xanax, heeding the advice of an internet psychiatrist at this board. I think "benign" and "harmless" are relatively synonymous, for the internet, and close enough for gov work. Once again my sincerest apologies for having misquoted you.
