Does anyone with a 4 1/4 grip have the deminsions of the grip. I am looking to shave down my tour from 4 3/8 to 4 1/4. I need the exact numbers from one side to other on all the bevels. I am going to use a rasp and micrometer. Thank you.

Heck, on day two with my tours i was alternating with my k90's and i must say that the tours are just sooo much fun to hit with. They really lend themselves to a wide open no holds barred spin attack fest. I love the fact that's it's a thin beam frame and as a result is very maneuverable.

You can definitely hit a heavy ball with this frame: 1) flatten the stroke out a bit more 2) use your core, legs, shoulders etc. 2) come over the ball a little more. Last edited by asifallasleep : 10-22-2011 at 05:46 PM. |

If you are not hitting heavy balls with the EXO, adjust your string setup.

I agree totally here. I have been using this racket as a demo now for 3 weeks and have tried several string setups. You can really dial in certain characteristics depending on the string and tension. My fav setup so far is m2 mains and alu rough crosses at about 49. The ball just fizzes! I do find I have to keep my racket head speed up at all times which is a good thing for me as I do tend to push the ball around at times. Such a great frame that rewards various styles of play.

Yep. Personally, I hit my most consistent with a syngut hybrid. It allows me to ramp up the tension, and that seems to always give me the control to hit through the ball whenever I want.

same setup for me too. alu power mains and syn gut crosses in the mid 50's tension. works like a charm. power, spin, control.

2 days until I get my racquet.. It feels like a decade passed by.Once I get my racquet, what should I string it with? I'm a more touch oriented player, and will hit touch dropshots whenever given the opportunity to. I currently only have BHBR, what strings are cheap and dedicated to feel?

Ace, I am loving the N Vy in the crosses. I use Big Hitter Silver Rough and regular in the mains. I like my polys around 54 and my syn guts at 60.
The NVy with the ports feels incredible. I get far more control and can crush the ball when needed with this setup.

I get tons of spin, but that is how I hit as well. I hate low tensions. My strokes have always been better with high tensions. I have tried low a million times, and it just never works like with higher ones.
You can get a looot of spin with a higher tension. You also get more control with the EXO, since some people have mentioned clean winners being an issue. They are not at all for me with this setup.

Multis feel fantastic, but I think this frame really shines with a hybrid, especially if you want power. I am stringing it right around mid tension, and it plays perfectly.
I know a lot of people are stringing it under the recommended low of 53, which is fine, but I have experienced more power stringing higher. If you have RIP, I'd love to hear how it plays..Try it at 55#s or so.

Oh yeah I am sure. It just matters how you hit. For me, I get more control and can hit out more with the 54/60 combo. But you will be fine either way.

I too find a ton of control with BHBR mains in a hybrid, much more than a full bed. It still retains all of its spin but gives much less free pop. For me, I prefer having the extra power on tap, as the hybrid would give me tons of kick and no pace, leaving balls to be devoured by my hungry opponents

Definitely go with your preferred tension then. You can always adjust and get advice on setups in here.

In that case, just go with BHBR at your normal tension. This racquet really shines with full poly, and if low tension poly is your thing, I think a hybrid will be the exact opposite of what you're looking for. The hybrids have so much less innate power by comparison, in my experiences.

I just got my racquet, and I am so eager to hit with it. Once the RPM breaks, I will restring it with BHBR at the tension of 43/40.
