Mike, do you have a link to where you read it so the rest of us can check it out?

I don't remember where I read it. Just Google Exo Tour ESP and you'll probably find some info on it.

What do we think of the tour with a tour bite / vanquish combo?

Also, glad to find this thread.

My background post:
Is there a mother of all threads for prince exo3 Tour 100?
Ive been searching but 'tour' is fairly common for a search term.

I played all morning using a new apd and a volkl pb7. elbow is getting sore, so I went as soft as I could think and grabbed a TOUR 100, then played a match with it. No pain. felt good. Im thinking I should just use it and build my game with it and not worry anymore about elbows.
Any thread links or any other general input/opinions would be appreciated.

^This is THE thread for the exo3T.

Haven't tried the tb/vanquish combo. Have tried vanquish mains/4g crosses and full beds of tb in the exo.

Should be a good match-up in the exo, for these reasons. Vanquish loses tension very quickly, can be exacerbated in a frame as soft as the exo, so it feels very soft (almost too mushy) after the 2hr. mark.

TourBite, no matter how much tension it loses, still feels stiffer than anything I've tried. Ends up losing a lot of feel/life but is still harsh.

I'm thinking the two will compliment themselves nicely. Can see the TourBite just sawing through the Vanquish very quickly, especially if you've got the 16x18 tour100.

Hit again very shortly with the demo. Love the amazing comfort, struggling to find the right face on forehand, feel like im too open and going too long. Im going to keep trying it as I plan to make the switch and make it work...i really want to make it work and have no elbow worries.

It's funky on the forehand side, due to the head-shape and flex. Takes a while to dial it in. Really got to extend a little less and find the timing. Nice thing is the sweet spot is huge.

I've got about 3 months on this frame and I'm still having trouble dialing in my forehand.

Weird thing is that my forehand was best in the demo I used that had Wilson Sensation in it. I did not like the string too much for any other shots though...

Backhand side feels great. I seem to be sailing forehands, for some reason I tend to open up with my wrist or something odd. when I get it right, its beautiful, otherwise im way long. Im going to try 2 grams at 12 as well. I have the demo until wednesday and have high hopes of making it work.

I can hit backhands in all day with this frame. It just seems like when I try and flatten the ball out on my forehand side most of the time it sails long like you said.

I bought one recently from a friend that had a leather grip and lead. I did not care for it with the extra weight.

Hit with 2 grams @ noon, I liked it better. forehand felt better, think I can get in tune with it. Im going to have my demo strung with a multi/TB and see how that works.

TB mains at about 55 and x's of vanquish @ 58 sound like a good start?

Also, the grip feels a bit smaller than my volkls/bab. Is this just how the prince pallet is?

^Oh yeah, the prince 3/8s pallets feel like a full 1/4grip in wilson/bab/head etc. Wait until the syn.grip compresses some. I just wrap 2 tournas and they even out.

String set-up sounds great. Share your thoughts on it whenever you get some hours logged in.

Strange. Syngut has many mysterious powers. It can also react strange in different temperatures and varying %s of humidity and altitude changes. It's the original.

^ Thanks! Ill see if they can string it up tomorrow and hopefully hit with it. Im really close to pulling the trigger, Ive got the wifes "buy-in", she said if I can use it and stop being a baby about my elbow and keep up with her, then go for it. (shes been patient considering Ive bought an APDgt, a bb london, and 3 pb7's).

wheres all the other tour users? Ive read through alot of posts, but noticed many sig changes. Im hoping to dial one in and stick with it through spring/summer+ and not deal with elbow pain.

The one I bought from a friend had Babolat synthetic gut in it. I took a few hits with it and said "I'm cutting this crap out". I'm so used to multis now that mono nylons just don't cut it. My forehand issues now are mainly due to some minor wrist soreness.

I've been dealing with arm issues on and off the last several years. The Exo Tour is not my favorite racket but it is the most comfortable I've tried. I'll take comfort over how much I like a racket with my 40th birthday almost here.

I will be 40 this year as well and picked up two 18x20's last March. Unbelievably comfy but coming from the prestige mid it took a good bit of getting used to.

And I honestly just thought that there would be some sacrifices that would be made in the name of comfort. For 8 months I felt that it was lacking in one way or another.

However in the last six weeks or so the Exo has really clicked for me. Playing some great tennis with them now and not at all wishing for the racket to be other than it is. I have no idea why it took so long for it to click for me, but glad I waited it out.
