During the game where Roddick got broken in 1st set, Fed latched on to the fact that Roddick was having trouble with the short slice return to the Forehand side.. Repeated the dose and broke shortly. Those two shots from Roddick were kind of like you would see on the rec courts, yeap, thats how bad they were.
After that Roddick's BH slice approach broke down as well, going into the net.

Roddick has to play OUT OF HIS SKIN just to somewhat hang with Federer. It has to be SO frustrating. As a Roddick fan, I hate watching him play Fed.

Set 2, Game 1: Didn't catch this in time, so maybe it was a Fed challenge, but: Roddick challenges a serve out call, which if the court had been the size of basel city, would still have been out

I like them both, but I started liking Roddick before Federer. Also the H2H is SO skewed that I want Roddick to win. Plz find a post in 5 years where I have said a single bad thing about Federer

True. It's the same dynamic that has developed between Cvac and Nadal, and quite frankly it sucks.

In Miami last year Roddick played probably one of his best matches ever to beat Nadal. What has happened to that Roddick. Is he finished. He hasnt had hardly any decent results (other than U.S Open this year where he was aided by a badly off form Ferrer and then looked hopeless and listless vs Nadal) in a year and a half now.

I agree with you there, im not like that though, when Federer retires there's going to be a huge hole left. I can't root for him when he's playing Roddick though, bc I feel so bad for Andy.

It does suck. It makes the match predictable and torturous. Federer, like Novak, doesn't even have to do much besides show up and play somewhat decent.

37 % 1st serves for Roddick, 62 % for Federer, no wonder it's going so well for Fed
