My ideal line-up would be:

1-Djokovic
2-Nadal
3-Murray
4-Federer
5-Berdych
6-Tsonga
7-Del Potro
8-Monfils

I'm sure it won't happen (well, Ferrer is already in) but I hope at least Berdych and Tsonga will make it.

Top 8 looks alright as it is now. Fish is a gutsy player who has performed well this year and he is not getting any younger, so I won't begrudge him a last huzzah.

Agree Fish isn't boring but just not as fun as Delpotro or Monfils....but then few guys are.

How the heck is almagro 9th in the race this year? I don't remember the last time he made a deep run in a tournament this year.

Yes but he plays ALOT of tournament and is a machine........ and had gotten far into US open and some of the tournaments. Let's hope he doesn't get in.....he closes his eyes and just swings as hard as he can ,,,,hope for miracle........Does NOT work in top 10 tennis.

9 Nicolas Almagro

He'll in all likelihood finish top 10 for the year and will definitely improve his results in the big clay tournaments next year so will be around there for quite a while.

Please Almagro don't qualify! It would be awesome if Arod could make it, but then he would lose every match without winning a set. It would be nice if JMDP could get in, but it's a big longshot.

It`s pretty unrealistic for Del Potro and the rest of guys under him in the ranking to qualify.Beeing over 700 points down behind nr.8 Tsonga he would probably need to win both Stockholm and Bercy to qualify and that is pretty much a longshot. Also he deppends on the results of those guys as well.
Beeing a 420 point gap between place 8 and 9 it`s possible that the current top 8 will go through to London

Alternates will be important as well. Joker will probably pull out with injury.

Actually A-Rod did suprisingly well in Shanghai. He lost to Ferrer in a 3rd set TB. Besides Nadal and Federer, he has a winning record against Djokovic. I would also like to see him get 9 consecutive WTF in a row.

What would be most fun ? They habitually put Djoker and Fed in the same half again hoping for a Fedal final but it backfires and we get a Rafole semifinal and Fed-Djoker or Murray-Djoker final. (the semis are played between players from opposite halves unlike at slams)

He didn't play him this year. That's the secret to maintaining the favorable H2H against Nole.
