Who is the player you really do not want to see on your screen when you watch a tennis match??? The choice of the players for the poll is totally subjective... I just put players I really do not find exciting to watch...

How about Roddick when he's serving well.

I think that Pavel is a nice player to watch.
He's nothing special but he does everything quite nicely and I think he has an amazing backhand to watch! Good player imo. The most boring to watch is Hewitt, his game is sooo ugly, closely followed by Roddick Liam |

Roddick by far for me, followed by Hewitt. There are others, but I don't feel like thinking about it.

That's funny, when I read your comment about Hewitt and Roddick it made me think of that article from the Washington Post about Tennis going down the tube and that's the reason. Hewitt and Roddick are the main players people in general turn on to watch and if people like you hate watching them, it explains the downfall of Tennis.

I find it amusing that so many dislike Hewitt and Roddick so much. So many of the top players, while having attractive styles, show so little emotion on court that it seems as if they could care less if they win or lose. If they seem disinterested, why should fans watch on TV? However, Hewitt and Roddick play hard regardless of whether the match is going well or badly for them. Playing hard and competing is what attracts viewers. Frankly, I am thrilled when I see Hewitt on a televised match. While I get tired of seeing Roddick play every televised round, I understand why it is done- at least he plays hard and provides some feeling to the match.
Nothing worse than seeing top players struggle, then just throw in the towel instead of trying to battle back. Doesn't make for riveting action to watch. |

Ferrero, Ferrero, Ferrero, Nalbandian, Hewitt are the top 5 for me. Carlos Moya and others whose feet are glued to the baseling with superglue follow close behind.

Roddick when serving well, wow that is so bad. Schuettler is so bad to watch, some of the ugliest strokes out there, nothing looks good.
I of course don't see how Ferrero and Moya are boring, those forehands are so awesome to watch, and the movement is great too. Also, Nalbandian and Coria aren't boring at all either because of how well they work the point, especially Nalbandian. Hewitt doesn't bother me anymore. The way he's so tenacious and is always on the run amazes me |

Novak. I'm waiting for him to have a racket-smashing, kick the net post, swear at the umpire kinda day. Do you suppose I'll be waiting for a while? LOL

Any of the grinders seem particularly boring to watch, but truth be told, the only player I can't stand to watch is Sharapova. The grunting is beyond annoying. Sounds like someone's beating her with a stick.

Women's tennis, except Justine and maybe some of the Russian cuties, has gotten boring to watch. Most of the top men are interesting to watch.

Players who show no emotion on court bore the living hell out of me. That's one reason why I love watching Roddick, Safin, Hewitt, Agassi, etc. These guys show some blood and guts. They are not only athletes, but entertainers as well.
Pete Sampras--world's most boring (and greatest) tennis player ever. Ugh. And I know a lot of people who snooze when Federer shows up on their screen. LOL. |
