Nadal has a bum shoulder? When did this happen? Did he and Djokovic score a double KO on eachother after that brutal USO final.
I know Nadal had to serve his butt off in that match. Couldn't have been easy when you know you have to serve well against the best defender in the game.

We really need more sportspeople like Nadal, putting his fans in front of himself.

This also goes to show how important this tournament is that Rafa should stay on even though sick, unlike what Rafa's fans are saying about this tournament being of no importance.

I believe he wasn't a hundred per cent when he dropped that set to Djokovic in the 2009 final!

Nadal definitely was not at his best, he's had a tough year with injuries along with Djokovic. Not just that but the indoor court played in Federer's favor, he hit's more through the court, while Nadal's spin on the indoor court doesn't produce as much kick. As far as the year is concerned Nadal would have had one of the best years ever if it wasn't for Djokovic playing out of his mind.

Did Djokovic really play out of his mind to beat Nadal or was Djokovic just finally fulfilling his true potential?
I could easily turn this around and say that it was Nadal who played out of his mind to achieve the results that he achieved in 2010 with his very unusual serve from USO 2010 which he never produced ever again.
On top of that, he played out of his mind to be making all the finals he made this year alone but finally met his true rival much like Federer met his true rival in Nadal.
If not for Nadal, Federer would've reeled off what...several Calendar Year Grand Slams? Maybe 23-24 Slams to date?
For Federer and Nadal to be racking up all those Slams...it just seemed far too easy. They both needed a real rival to step up. For Federer he got his rival in Nadal. And now Nadal gets his rival in Djokovic. It's only fair...

This doesn't seem related to my post at all. I have no idea what match you are referencing. I was talking about the camps and not living vicariously through perceived "heroes."

Nadal was mumbling to himself in that exo. He looked sluggish and sad too. But you are right, it is and exo and does not mean anything

Was he? I didn't see it. That's already a bad sign though. Im definitely not expecting much out of him in 2012. Cockyvic extinguished Nadal's internal fire for good I think.

That's a crock of sh*t. He was laughing and smiling, and didn't look like he was about to jump off a bridge or anything. Here's a video of him during the Ferrer match. Draw your own conclusions.

Nadal was not sad. He was laughing and joking around in the both the Ferrer and Federer matches (at least from the clips that I saw.)
