2011 BARCLAYS WORLD TOUR FINALS (11/20 - 11/27) POWER PLAY LEAGUE

Welcome to our final event of the 2011 Tennis Year and the second Barclays World Tour Finals for the Power Play League!

HOW TO PLAY:

For each round of matches, we assign scoring points to each individual. For example, a match between Roger Federer (7,530) and Andy Roddick (2,120) would have the following scoring points:

The scoring points are calculated by a mathematical formula based on the players’ rankings. The objective of the game is to pick a mix of upsets and "sure bets" that will give you the highest score. All matches will be posted in the thread with scoring points while also being available in the League File. We hope you all join and we can make this bigger and better than our previous events!

Format for Barclays World Tour Finals:

• Only the top eight qualify for the WTF.
• The goal is to pick six matches of a total of 15.
• Two special caveats:
  • You have to pick one match out of each round of the Round Robin. The other three matches can be distributed as you wish.
  • You can pick one match out of the six that you're absolutely sure about to double up on. You get double the points for that match. So if the scoring points are (8-15), you pick the player that gets you 15 points and they win, you would get 30 points for that match.
• The scoring is as follows: 500 points for the winner, 450, 400, 350, 300, 250, 200, 150 for the other seven. So you're guaranteed 150 points at least.
• There's a bonus round where you pick the winner of one out of 16 possible semis match ups before any matches start. We will provide the possible scoring points for all sixteen. The reward if you choose the correct match and the correct winner will be 10 TIMES the scoring points of the match fixture. This reward will be added to your overall ranking.
