A I the only one that likes this stuff? I have a full bed at 54# in an exo3 tour 100 and love it. Mayby it's just the flexy frame I have, but please give me your experiences. Seems to have the right mix of power/control with spin but not too much spin. Touch shots are also much better than with rpm, barb wire, alien.

I'm playing the 16ga right now in a full setup at 56/54 and also enjoying Beast. I've done several gut/beast hybrids in the past and also liked them.
I enjoy the feel most as it is quite crisp without being stiff. Also seems to maintain its elasticity longer than many other brands. It's on sale now so I'm thinking about getting more.

I liked it when I tried it, but it is just too expensive.

Beast performs well longer than any other poly I have tried. I usually cut out polys after 2 hitting sessions, but I can keep Beast for 8 sessions. It still plays well after, but I cut it out, just to play it safe for my arm.
Some posters here have complained that it feels plasticky. Since I use it as a cross with gut mains, I have not had that sensation except on a couple of occasions with the 17 gauge. I prefer the 16 gauge. it feels more solid and I think I hit heavier shots with it. |

To be honest, I prefer the RPM Blast for spin, but I am getting too lazy to re-string every other hitting session.

I'm playing it in a hybrid with Premier Attack. Digging it at this point. Usually, I play Tour Bite in the mains.

My coach and I hated this stuff when we play tested it.

It good to hear others have enjoyed it as well. I, at first thought it was a gimmick when it came out with the eyeball and all. I recently tried a demo from tw with it and was shocked by the comfort/feel for a full poly. After purchasing the exo3 tour 100 18x20 I went out and bought a reel.
Do all of you play with a full bed, or hybrid? If so please and me the tensions you found work best on your racquet. If you hybrid, let me know what string to hybrid with and I'll give it a shot next time I restring it. That's the beauty of stringing yourself, you can experiment more and don't get killed with labor charges. Thanks all |

I agree. I tried it when they were given out for string playtests. I found it good at the time, but at its price, it wasn't anything special
I like using my reels of poly that are less than $60 that work fine for me |

I see some liking it and some not. What tensions were the ones NOT liking it using?
I see the ones liking it are at 54 and 56 lbs. I had it in one racquet and cut it out after one hitting session BUT I had mine at about 58 lbs. Perhaps it works better at lower tensions? |

Played with Beast/Bab N vY hybrid (52/57) yesterday for 1st time in Exo 100. I was hugely impressed by the crispy lush feel and seemingly slight additional pop. Am now curious how this/similar hybrids would perform/feel in stiffer frames.

My team gets prince stuff for free, so I tried the prince beast xp 17 quite a few times and it suck. No durability whatsoever. Out of the 6 times I used it, it broke under an hour twice, and didn't last over 6 hours the other 4 times. Isospeed lasts me a couple hours longer on average and a reel is the prince of 2 sets of strings (although im not buying the sets)

Or maybe you ought to just get Kevlar. See if you can get Pro Blend for free as well. |

Beast was also breaking quickly for me too. I can normally make a set of 17g competition or spiky shark last about 20 hours on my frames. I got two packs of 17g beast to test when it was released and they both broke quickly. My set broke within 2 hours, and the other set I strung for someone else, and it broke in a week. That person normally only has their racquet strung every 2-3 months.

Third. It was amazing in a hybrid with Alien black diamond but it is not viable for me to buy both in bulk.
Edit: Which reminds me I still have a half set of Beast!

I tried it when testing some polys for me Wilson PS85 and it was by far the worst string out of about 5 or 6 polys I tried. And it was the most expensive one too.
It just played way too stiff (all polys tried were done at the same initial tension) and even looked whack in that odd green colour. That said, I dont know the longevity of it as I played about 4-6 one hour sessions with each string I tried (often doing two at a time for comparison sake) and then cut them out. Maybe as a hybrid it would be much better but the colour honestly was a deal-breaker for me regardless.

really enjoying a Beast/Attack hybrid in my EXO3 Warrior and this is my first poly in the mains experience. Soft and plush with nice power. Just feels great on contact.
