That said, I dont know the longevity of it as I played about 4-6 one hour sessions with each string I tried (often doing two at a time for comparison sake) and then cut them out. Maybe as a hybrid it would be much better but the colour honestly was a deal-breaker for me regardless.
Sounds like you needed to drop the tension.

You can't just test all sorts of strings at the same tension. Depending on the string's own properties, tensions have to be adjusted.

Try one set at your favorite tension, and if it feels too stiff, lower the tension on the next set.

How can that be? I guess its possible because the Warrior demo I tried had full setup of Beast 16 and it felt amazing. I just assumed a hybrid setup with Beast 17 mains and a softer multi in the crosses would add more comfort and power?

Have you compared Beast 16 to 17 in the same racquet? Also have you tried hybrids or full beds?

The same comfort can be had with thicker gauge if you lower the tension a couple of pounds.

The same feel you like about Beast, I find more in the 16 gauge than in the 17 gauge.

I just strung my racquet with beast 17/premier attack 16 hybrid last night for the first time and I am hitting the courts tonight to see how it feels.

I strung beast in mains @55lbs and premier attack in crosses @60lbs.

Will report back to give you guys an update.

As for stringing it was fairly easy. Beast seemed very stiff and there was practically zero stretch in the string. Premier attack seemed super super soft and flexible with a decent amount of stretch in them (usually needed 2 pulls before I could clamp it).

Very intrigued how this performs because it looks wicked with the green and black in my blue Dunlop!

Hmmm... I didn't find the Beast to be stiff what so ever.
It is actually very comfortable for a poly if you ask me.

I think Beast is pretty soft and elastic compared to most polys.

I was thinking that it is almost a cross between poly and stiff syngut.

I tried out another Gut/Beast hybrid this week. Again, very happy.

So far I can't say the 400T is very string sensitive, but I've been most satisfied with the Classic gut /Beast and SS/Classic gut setups. Decent, controllable power, adequate spin, comfort, and I believe better for an all-court game.

I wouldn't mind trying some Beast in the x's. I haven't seen much difference between putting gut in the mains or crosses, but haven't played them simultaneously.

Reporting back from my first hit with the beast xp/premier attack hybrid last night.

Played 4 sets of doubles and just hit groundstrokes and serves for about another 30 minutes.

: The most comfortable setup I have ever hit with.
: Tons of spin production.
: Fairly low powered.
: Minimal string movement (beast did not move one iota but premier attack would move ever so slightly)

On groundstrokes I was able to really produce some amazing shots when focusing on trying to generate spin. Could swing out freely and rely on the spin to dip the ball in. Found I could actually get pretty good sidespin on the ball and make it "hook".

Due to low power I found if I did not swing hard that my ball would land short and get destroyed by opponent. Had to force myself to swing harder on my one handed backhand to keep it deep in court.

Serves took some adjusting. First set of serves I was getting hammered because there was too much spin and not enough pace. Found I could reliably hit a strong kick or sidespin serve but needed to put extra effort into getting pace. After first set I changed my grip a little and was able to increase the pace of my serve while still retaining some spin. Once I made the adjustments my serve was rocking. Last 2 sets of the evening I was holding at love the majority of the time and even scoring some aces.

Overall impression:
One of my favorite hybrids to have ever played with so far. This string is super comfortable and generates unbelievable spin. I cannot comment on durability yet so we will see how long this lasts.

For reference I normally play with Wilson Sensation Duo Hybrid (Enduro Pro/Sensation).
I have also played with Babolat Pro Hurricane/Nvy hybrid and a Kirshbaum Pro Line/Prince Syn Gut hybrid.

This is my go to hybrid with my Warrior. What racquet is this in and what tension was it strung at? I do mine at 52/54 and it's not low powered at all.

I strung it in my Dunlop BioMimetic 200 Lite. Racquet is not the most powerful out there to begin with.

Mains: Beast XP @60lbs
Crosses: Premier Attack @55lbs

ok now it makes sense. That isn't a very powerful racquet, plus you did it the opposite that you should have . The poly needs to be strung about 4 lbs less than the multi. Next time try 52 for the Beast and 56 for the Attack. You'll love it!

I liked them but the performance did not justify the price.

OOPS dangit I wrote that wrong!!!!! I did it Beast XP @55 & Premier @60.

You are correct poly should always be lower than the multi.

Good idea, next time I will go 3-4 lbs lower for each string and see how it goes.

Price is only $12.00.

Comparatively speaking its not that expensive of a string these days. Although $12 is just about my upper limit.
Considering Wilson Sensation Duo Hybrid and Babolat Pro Huriicane/Nvy hybrid are both $10 I think this setup is well worth the $2 extra.

What is your limit for strings?

Really enjoy this string in a hybrid with nat gut. Cost is not an issue with a half set to mute the power of the gut main. Excellent control and spin. Does what a poly is expected to do.

Prince Attack works well as a cross for Beast.

I was testing IG Radical Pro yesterday freshly strung with Beast 17g mains @ 23kg and Rip Control crosses @ 22kg. I liked this setup, but Beast snapped after 1.5h. I just wonder is this common that Beast snaps so quickly?
