Yes, everyone can access, so there is no need to copy an entire article from another web site. It is a violation of their intellectual property.

2) Is the Match Tiebreaker a Solution or a Problem?

The USTA has set a goal of less school missed and more regional play for competitive juniors, with the match tiebreaker in lieu of a third set playing an increasingly important role in deciding matches and ultimately, rankings. Those who value the mental and physical factors that come into play in a traditional third set are not happy with that trade-off, however, believing US juniors learn little about the fortitude international competition requires. This question can't really be answered definitively, this year or any year, so each side will continue to hold firmly to their view.

Are More Major Changes Brewing for USTA Junior Competition?

A major revamping of the competitive structure of the USTA junior divisions is being proposed, not for the first time.

In an attempt to restore the importance of sectional play,

many tournaments below the National Championship level could be eliminated,

and even gold ball events could see draw sizes reduced and formats drastically changed.

Whether these proposals will have any true impact on player development is debatable,

but it must be said that while simplicity may not be its strong suit,

the USTA can't be accused of fearing change
.
FOLKS......

THIS IS WHAT I MADE A THREAD ABOUT LAST WEEK.

ASKING IF ANYONE HAD HEARD ABOUT THESE UPCOMING CHANGES...

HERE IT IS.

A BIG, BIG, BIG DEAL.

THE TSUNAMI.

BYE, BYE REGIONALS.

SMALL SUPER NATIONALS - 64 DRAW.

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE NAIL IN THE COFFIN.

Yes, tennis5 it is what you mentioned, but it has not been decided yet.

But I hear there may be some huge changes in 2013, more significant than just the draw sizes changing. Prepare to play the same ol' players in your section more and more, over and over if certain things go though. ugh.
Not true, it was already voted on.

But, yes, you will be playing your section players over and over again.

AGAIN, IF YOU THOUGHT THE LAST CHANGES WERE BAD ( AND I DID...), YOU HAVEN'T SEEN NOTHING YET.

USTA WILL BE LIMITING PLAY IN A BIG WAY.

NATIONALS WILL HAVE MANY FEWER KIDS, AND DON'T KID YOURSELF, ALL OF THEIR KIDS WILL BE IN, THEY HAVE THE WILD CARDS.

Is there a chance that it will be 64 draw with qual?
