Well, yes obviously But there are a few high level coaches on the board, woking with some high level players. Could have been a chance to meet up.

cheers

It seems like that tournament is losing a little bit of its previous glory with a few top players showing up. I think it was a much more prestigious and difficult tournament to win before. However, it is still one of the premium events for 14 and unders.

Well, have finally made it hear after a seriously long days travelling!

In the AB draw from the US are Alicia Black, Nicole Frenkel, Emma Higuchi, Raquel Pedraza, Will Blumberg, Michael Mmoh, Nathan Pontwith and Francis Tiafoe and Shelby Baron in the wheelchair. Anybody here know any of these players?

I have Lauren Jones and Alfie Hewett in the wheelchair event and Team GB have 19 players in the main draw.

Cheers

My kid trained with Emma at Carson for a couple of years, nice player. He also beat Ponwith when he was 11, but Ponwith improved a lot and travels a lot more. Tiafoe is somewhat of a head case but definitely a great player, very athletic. My kid was very proud to have gotten 3 games off him and aced him twice in doubles at Easter Bowl last year .

I wouldn't call Tiafoe a head case at all. He's a funny kid with a great game at this young stage of his career. If he's guilty of anything, he's guilty of being a young teenager.

I would say that for the boys, Francis Tiafoe and Michael Mmoh might be the matches you would want to watch.

I train where Francis Tiafoe does at the Tennis Center at College Park. I know him pretty well. He's a funny kid. However, he is not the hardest working kid and does not always take responsibility over his game, but his talent seems to make up for it

Have watched a little of Tiafoe in between our matches, I like his game. His forehand take back is a little flat for my tastes, but he accelerates really, really well just before contact.

good kid I think.

Blumberg up first on centre tomorrow, will try to have a look after our 8am practice.

Watched Raisma of Estonia tonight - kid has the sweetest two-hander!

cheers

i know ponwith very well, he is a cocky little child but he is very good. He has some good wins in the 18s in our section here. BIG forehand.

I love this! Sometimes it can be easy to forget that these are kids and not just tennis players.

I thought I heard Luis say they were going to close the Britain office I could be wrong or misunderstood. I thought you could clear it up which you did.
