I did and bought one although I am not sure it is actually what I was looking for now I've played a few times. It does feel fairly solid and mini-Prestige like but is actually no more forgiving and didn't take to defense too well against heavy hitters. It served well and is quite spinny. Good accurate forehand but I think I would still reach for the PMP first. In fact, in three separate matches with the S, I have started the second set each time with my PMP back in hand.

The thing is, it looks like I have found what I was looking for in a very unexpected source - the Prince Warrior 100 (an official tweener racket). It is the first racket I have used after my Prestiges that feels very solid. I was surprised because it didn't feel like it would before I played it in a match but very solid on returns, forgiving, controllable power (no flyers), definitely comfortable. Played three sets with it last night and playing with it again tonight. The Prestige S and Rebel 98 aren't even in my bag at the moment (carrying 2 x PMP and 2 x Warrior 100).

Will report back.

i tried to find some K90 for backup and failed =)Then i tried to play with the leaded up I.Prestige Mid ,and its a super frame. While i cant feel any vibrations at all the feel is so crisp and the racquet is so accurate with some good power .Trajectory is lower than with the K90 but with I.Prstg i can paint the lines more easily, at the net I Mid has a superb control less power then K90 but control and solidity is very very high.and one more thing while I.Mid has the same swingweight as my K90 and has a more HH balance i swing it a little bit easier especially when i covering the ball ,maybe because it has a less twistweight ,but i allows me to win some really nice points with confidence=)and it feels more thin in the hands than my K90 while k90 has a thiner profile(maybe cause of the longer throat ), its a really nice feel.

I wonder does the new IG Mid performs like my I Prestige Mid, its hard to find I.Mids this days but i know i can get only one more . i need to decide faster and cant test this IG version now=)so its up to you it is worth it or not ?

is that stock weight or did you add lead/leather grip?

Would a full bed of poly be too stiff for these rackets? Currently using HEAD Liquidmetal Radical MP (one with full bed of Pro Hurricane Tour and the other with Pro Hurricane). Wayyy to much vibration and it's time to upgrade. Recently demoed an '09 Babolat Pure Storm LTD. GT and liked it a lot. These Prestiges really caught my eye though.

As the frames go the MID and MP are not stiff. The Pro is slightlt stiffer RA of 66. I was stringing mine with RPM (m) and Sensation (c) at 52/54. I reciently went with NRG (m) and Lux Fluoro (c) at 54/51. I would demo them.

I got mine strung with Luxilon ALU Power Rough at 55 lbs main & cross, and i must wow every time i hit forehand. The other one was strung with Tecnifibre Black Code 17g at 55 lbs and this feels even better. In my opinion, both the Prestige MID and MP series will have best advantages if you play with Poly 17g strings full bed. I got my Utek Prestige MP strung with Wilson NXT Tour 16g and i had to cut the string because this string made the low power racquet even lower power. Has anyone experienced the same?

.
I wouch for the lower power in the YT MP strung with a multi. I tried Xcel power but had no power (ironic ha!), tried alu power and it was better, but I currently use a poly/multi low tension (that means < 50 lbs) hybrid.

I have RPM Blast at 51lbs on one of my PMPs and power/control is good. A few weeks back, my coach suggested a Syn Gut at 53lbs. He used to play with that on the old Girobank tour in UK (older Mid of course).

Had a two-hour match with the IG Prestige MP and was a bit tired at the end. Pretty tired and sore last night overall. I have been running and lifting a lot lately so I felt fine hitting with it.

The other two arrived so now I have four of them. I need to get the other three to the stringer - have been very busy with family stuff so not a lot of time for tennis.

I am getting used to the weight.

This frame isn't quite as stable (and the sweetspot is smaller) than my YTs but that's due to the lead placement. This thing has much more plow. I guess I can live with that though - I really don't want to change the IGs.

Quick question for VSBabolat,

From your expertise with Head Pro Stock racquets, could you tell me the differences between the various Head Extreme Pro Stocks?

Question

I hit with YT midplus but didn't like how the top of the loop was a bit ustable and sweetspot felt low in the stringbed. IG prestige Mid on the other hand is rock solid throughout.

Is the new Midplus more solid up top?

I was lucky enough to snag the only IG Prestige MP in stock tonight (Poly). Will have a follow up after I hit with it on Friday.

Hey Guys ! Some impressions on the IG MP:

For a long time the i.prestige mp was my stick of choice. I tried the 3 following prestige lines but they were just crappy. Unfortunately 1 racket broke due to aging...6 month ago I bought a pair of YT Prestige pro's, but was never really 100% satisfied with them.

So I gave the new IG Mp a try.

My first impression:

Very firm ,crisp , positiv feeling on contact. Very easy to swing, but lacks power due to low Sw.

I added 10g of lead at 9/3 + swoped he Hydrosorb grip with Babolat leather grip + Tourna and was ready to go.( sorry but that Hydrosorb was really horrible )

Strung with Alu Power at 23 Kg I was quite impressed how the IG performed.

Really solid from the baseline and at net, serving bombs with it like with the i. Maybe a Little less spin than with the yt prestige pros, but better control, touch and nicer sweetspot.

Probably the best thing about the stick was the clear feel. I play with a dampener and could not feel any vibration. The YT had a harsh feeling.
Moreover It felt softer on my arm, which is good because I was allready thinking about going hybrid. With the IG I can still go full Alu Power.

Well, I finally made the switch and am very happy !

Nice feedback. Can you let us know what the total weight is, as well as balance? And swingweight if you happen to know. Thanks!

Received my demo IG Prestige MP this evening (3/8, Poly - Kirschbaum Pro Line II 16). Cosmetics look much better in person IMO. The chrome/silver really pops and the watermark-like "Head" at the bottom of the hoop is a nice touch. Overall very nice looking stick. You do feel vibrations without a dampener but after you slap one on there (#64 rubber band around the 2 mains in my case) the vibrations are gone. Feels great in the hands. About to go hit with it and I'll follow up afterwards.

My two other IGs arrived last week and I unpacked them yesterday. The YTs are in the background.

Just noticed the pricing on YT vs IG. YTs are $199, IGs are $179. TW doesn't list the YT MP for sale - I guess they are out of them.

I'm surprised that you concentrate all your lead at 3+9. You don't feel that mass is lacking at top of the hoop and a bit insubstantial?
