It's good for the sport.

Remember when the NFL outlawed endzone celebrations for a while? Things got so dull (with people calling it the "No Fun League") the league reversed itself and allowed them again.

As much as I call him Cockyvic it wasn't too bad. He didn't have to yell as long as he did, but given the match it was understandable. They went 6 hours, had Nadal won, he would have been going crazy too.

the match was played with a lot of emotion, energy, intensity and courage, it is just self-boosting in celebrating every point won.........

Do people want emotionless robots playing out there? Novak seems like enough of a machine during a match that it's actually quite nice to see him letting loose at the end, even if it seemed borderline caveman-psychopathic. Nadal's an emotional player, but that's why the fans like him. The lawnmower at the end of the 4th was perfectly fine.

Really, as long as the players are not being disrespectful to their opponents, letting them have their emotional moments is an absolute positive for the sport, since it humanizes them for the fans and gives people reasons to care. People don't only root for and against so-and-so's game, but for and against so-and-so the person.

To me the coolest celebrations ever were from Ivan Lendl. old school,
roll in make it happen and roll out, never even raise your arms, show them you expected to win the entire time.

Ivan Lendl was the truth, that is how a man does it.

You and Snoop Doggy Dogg are brothers of the same mind, unblind. I would put Walter Payton and Barry Sanders in your league, too. Maybe Sampras, Edberg and Wilander.

The celebration is GRAND! I'm glad, after the win, he doesn't change into a dandy letter jacket like a former number one.

To be honest I'd love it if he did that.

Yeah, its fine when Nadal does it, but not Nole. That 4th set celebration was just classy. And all those fist-pumps when the opp nets a ball or double faults

I just watched the 4th set tie break again, all the Nadal celebrations when Nole would miss an easy winner 4ft inside the baseline from a Nadal desperation block back was ridiculous, this is not being a fighter this is being a no class punk. Celebrate if you hit a winner or win the match, not your opponents UFEs that gifts you a set you didn't deserve to win.

Not Nadal's fault.

Uncle Toni was giving him signals to do a fist-pump or hip-thrust on Nole's errors. Or maybe he misread the "act humble" signal

Happy Nole won.

(And by the way, Nadal needs to take lessons from Federer on how to roar.)
Just how biased can one be lol
