After the AO 2012, when will the next important match of this rivalry take place? At the level both are playing, I have a feeling it will be soon. Rafa is remotivated and Djokovic is not showing any signs of slowing down.

As soon as Miami or Monte Carlo I think. Indian Wells Nadal will have the disease of rustiness.

No one else is reaching finals, these guys could play 5 or 6 more times this year. I highly doubt Rafa will only win one.

By the second clay masters at the latest. Can't see anyone else reaching the finals there. In 2009 they met in the finals of MC and Rome, and the draw made them meet in the semis of Madrid instead of the final. 2010 Djokovic was too poor to make it, but last year both clay masters they met in the final again.
Could be IW or Miami but that will depends on different factors. Won't be surpised if the ranking gets very close before RG but then Novak has a chance to grab big points there.

Indian Wells is Nadal's best HC Masters.... he hasnt lost before the semis since he was 17, and hes won it twice, including a win over Djoker.
He also played the best HC tennis of his life there in 09 when he beat Del Potro, Roddick and Murray in that order not losing a single set. I feel they will meet here

No meetings until clay. Murray is going to crunch one and/or the other in both Indian Wells and Miami. Murray's not going into a slump this time. Del Potro also is going to take one of them out in Indian Wells or Miami.

If Rafa is anything like smart, he should skip IW and Miami.

Nadal has not won a HC masters series in 3 years.
And he needed lots of wind to beat Muray there in the final.(IW 2009). |

Obvious hater is obvious. He needed wind to beat Murray? Have you seen their H2H? Clearly he doesn't need anything.

Nadal won't get past Murray if he's in his half at IW or Miami.
