Default For once Simon Reed is right

He talks about the repetitive semi-final and final line-up we get in just about every major. While in some ways it's great that the top 4 survive and tough it out in the semis, it's just starting to become a bit too predictable thus....boring.

The gap between #4 and #5 is huge. Theres no way us mortals can ascend so high.

Tbh though, it seems to be really tough. All you need to do is watch and you'll see that those top 4 guys are out of this world. But its not impossible. Delpo won the USO some time before.

Nothing boring about it now. I say we enjoy until it gets boring.

What?

Djoker wins Aussie, Rafa takes RG, Fed takes Wimby, Murray finally breaks through at the Open.

Let's roll.

You know it's not going to happen. I wouldn't be surprised to see the top 4 in the remaining 3 slams with Djokovic beating Nadal in all 3.

It will doubtless be forgotten that the two weren't at their best in the first couple of hours, still shaking the fatigue off
So what fatigue was Rafa shaking off, 2 days of lying in bed watching cartoon channel ?

And yes, i do think watching more 4-6 hour matches between Joker and Nole will get boring soon.

He's making Ralph the slight favorite to win RG. We know what that means for poor Ralph. The Simon Reed curse marches on.

Djokodal finals are boring ? Oh well , no one said anything about the Fedal finals even if the outcome was never in doubt for the past 5 years.

I want to see more Djokodal which are the real thrillers.

The gap between #4 and #5 is no bigger than the gap between #1 and #2.

Cool

One or two of the French Legion needs to rise up at RG'12 and spring a big upset or two on the elites. Calling JWT or Clownfils...if no response, I'll dial up Messrs. Simon or Gasquet, or even Benneteau. Defend the dirt!

Boring? He needs to go to youtube and watch Sampras. Now that is a very definition of boring beyond comprehensible.

Actually, this AO was pretty nice - we got a Fedal semi for once, and the Djokovic-Murray match was quite good, and also different. The finals were more of the same that we've had, but Nadal managed to keep it closer than before.

Right now it is defintiely Djokovic > Nadal > Murray = Federer >>>>>>> Everyone else. Guys are making an effort though, Nadal and Murray both showed improvement from last year in Australia, Berdych played one of his best matches vs Nadal in years at the Australian, Tsonga shows sings of progress. By the middle of this year we will get a clearer idea.

Hmm. First number that came to mind was 5. Definitely a 5. I also have an affinity for the number 17. The next four, you're on your own.

Hmm... Wonder what will happen next year? My initial gut feeling is... it could feel like deja vu all over again.
