With so many new events, I think we should copy the ATP and only count a certain number of these lesser tournaments in our point totals.

It very complicated since not everyone can play everytime.

I'll make Alpacuco(Feb 27th when Dubai starts too),Hamburg( during US Hard court swing) , Beijing(Happens during Tokyo 500)and Valencia(Happens during Basel 500) as safety net points(zero pointers). Those four events can replace any 3 events(not including GS,WTF,MS1000, and Olympics) in points. I picked those three since there are other events going in at the same time.

Pretend you won in Hamburg(zero points).

Either you can skip a 500 or 250.....and Hamburg will then become 500 or 250 points.

If you do play all events....Hamburg W will replace your lowest 500 or 250. Depending which one creates the best points for you.

The changes will happen before the start of Paris 1000.

Everything will be updated by Monday. Congratz to Dcdoorknob and Locotus on reachiing the final. Unfortunate that there are no picks left.

Also good job on Tammo, JBF, and Ark 28 for reaching the semifinals.

See most of you in Memphis.....The others who have missed th event will get a change in the dbl tourney events to catch up.

Thanks for running another great event Kishnabe.

Out of interest is there going to be a rule that if there are two events the same week you can only enter 1?

Yeah I knew on day 4 when I picked Delpo that I was setting myself up to run out of picks one round too soon, but the only other option I really had was picking the Kohlschreiber/Seppi match, and I didn't want any part of that, plus in addition to that risk I didn't have a clear idea of who would win a Berdych/Delpo semi (and I'm still not completely convinced Fed will win the finals), so I decided to go for a surer path to the finals while sacrificing my ability to actually get through to the very end.

These 500s are rough. Quite possibly tougher than the Masters/Slams, as there are often only 2 or 3 truly dependable top players in the draw.

Yeah, and def. thanks for running it kish, I enjoy the game and really appreciate it.

You can play both events.....but one of the events will be subsitute.

THe event with the points...you die in the first round.

The second event(Zero Point Tourney)you win it. The second event will replace the points in the first event.

So you get the full points of the first event.

If you win both events...the second event will subsitute any event you miss other than(GS,WTF/Olympics, MS1000) or replace any bad performances in the 500/250 scale.

The only time this doesn't apply is during WTF where there are two events...one for top8 and another for everyone.

Also GS will have a women's and men's SDL. The women's will be a seperate ranking table.

I know Berdych and Del Potro was a crap shoot......and Del Potro seemed iffy in his full level and Berdych is a head case. So I see where you are coming from.

I think I told kish that I will be running the women's SDL. Women's SDL will only be the GS events only.

No Problem.
I only did that since you had a predictable logic path. No way would you have picked Federer in the QF and Davy to beat him in the SF.

I have updated the ranking and race but not much of a relevant change.
