I used the word 'seriously' which of course, doesn't apply to Nadal fans since they will believe everything Nadal says.

I guess it would be hard for some people that never played any competitive sports to relate, most people know the way Nadal and a few other pros act on court would rub them the wrong way immediately, if you don't see it, it is probably because you never played at a competitive level before.
So let me get this straight. On your local ghetto courts, if some kid dares to look disappointed that he lost a point, you (and/or your crew?) would get up in his face and 'teach him some respect'?

What if someone smashed a racquet like Safin or Baghdatis? Would you (and/or your crew) give them a beatdown with said racquet? Or is racquet smashing okay for them because they 'play the game the right way'?

How does that square with your "mean guy on the court" attitude? You're allowed to be an intimidating, racquet smashing thug when playing, but if your opponent deigns to look slightly sad he lost a point, it's no holds barred time? Or does the 'respect' clause only apply to 'dirtballing pushers'?

I don't like the commentary between nadal and federer fans usually, but this line was just funny to me.

WTF are you going on about? You make up a bunch of silly scenarios and attach me to them. I am flattered you fantasize about me but perhaps you should focus on yourself instead. I read the story you posted about your encounter with a superior defensive player and how you quit and stormed off the court it was quite amusing. How are you liking your poll results? http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=411261

He ties it up 5-5. I warn him that I wasn't going to put up with amateur hour. Nevertheless, he continues doing the same thing for the next four points, and goes up 6-5. I said to him, "I warned you". I gathered up my racquet and the balls (which he bought), threw them in my bag and stormed off the court. I never played him again, and never would. I guess he is just one of those tennis crazies you hear about.

I don't mind losing, but only if my opponent plays real tennis, and hits through me. I'm not going to tolerate some clown trying to be clever and cute. Either we're here to play or we aren't. And if we aren't, I have better things to do.

Yes, and I was totally being 100% serious with that thread, not satirizing the many similar, but less provocative threads that predominate that section.

And please, tell me, what exactly is it that Nadal does that demonstrates 'disrespect' such that you would have to 'show him a thing or two' before the warm-up?
