If anyone is interested, I am going to start a blog about my experiences going through the USTA Juniors. I will be giving you a perspective on the USTA system and tennis in general from a junior who is going through it trying to reach my goal of playing D1 college tennis. I will keep the blog updated with my training and tournament results as I finish up my last 2 years in High School. Also y’all can feel free to ask me any questions you may have about, well, anything. I would love it if y’all followed me or just let me know you are interested here as the more followers I have the more motivated I will be to keep it up to date.
EDIT: I see the link was removed, I am sorry - for some reason I didn't remember I couldn't post it here. For anyone who wants the link - just send me an email through my profile. Thanks TW Staff for taking the time to edit my post and not delete my thread.

I'll check then. Do you plan on posting videos of you hitting sometimes?

Thanks for sharing. As a tennis parent of an 11 year old just getting into competitive play, it will be good to hear the perspective of a player a few years ahead.
Can you give us some background about how you learned and trained up until now? I would love for my son to one day play in college, but not able/willing to spend the cost of a college education to get him there. I'm interested in how kids train that don't spend big money on coaches and academies. Thanks.

Alright, thanks. I had not thought about posting any videos and I might have to use my phone, but I will see what I can do.

For fitness I don't belong to any gyms but use some dumbbells and a weight set in the garage. Because of potential choices for college, my current workout is pulled from the Air Force Academy website. I hope that helps answer your questions, and don't hesitate to ask anything else.

Thanks a lot. I will see what I can do with the videos, I will try to at least get one up of me practicing my serve tomorrow.
