Default Once again - Murray's tough draw evaporates in 2 days

First a seemingly well playing Istomin gets bumped out by Falla, then Raonic pulls out with an ankle injury giving Murray a free pass to the 4th round, now Berdych who is an umcofortable opponent for Muzza gets beaten by Dimitrov.

It can get even better, though, if Melzer loses to Simon aka "baby Murray".

Sometimes lack of matches can get tricky. Especially on Murray's dodgy start offs.

Does Raonic constitute the difference between a "tough" and "easy" draw?

No.

Facing Falla, BYE, Simon, Tipsarevic/Dimitrov instead of an in-form Istomin/Raonic/Melzer/Berdych does.

Hm, wow I just noticed that once you pointed it out. Quite uncanny. Luck of the...Scots then?

Considering his run of form in Miami these past 2 years he could do with a bit of luck.

It's the second time it happened this year.

2012 AO - he was on schedule to play Monfils in R4 and Tsonga (coming off of finals in 2011 Paris Masters/WTF and a victory in Doha 2012) in the quarterfinals. He faced Kukushkin and Nishikori instead.

Murray prayed to God to give him some of Ralph's cake. Apparently God obliged.

This is true, I think Murray needs to play as many high-pressure matches as he can before Nadal (also would improve his confidence for the rest of the season in general). Also, we've seen how walkovers can wreak havoc on a player's rhythm (Djoker FO last year).

Milos retired? Awww.

I was looking forward to seeing him play.

Also, I hope that ankle injury is not too severe. Every time I hope one of my treetop favorites has dodged the Tall Man Injury Pixies, he hurts himself. Bummer.

Who played better than Monfils and Tsonga in that tournament apparantly

Didn't help Djoker much to play Isner instead of Murray

yeah I know man, and looks like Simon is going through. I was pleased for Dimitrov though and the way Berdych has been playing, Murray would have beaten him most likely.

well with an easier draw, Murray might actually make his way up to the semi final now, though I hope Dimitrov can keep going and take out all

People don't seem to enjoy Simon / Murray matches, because they play so much alike. I actually enjoy them.

Wonder what Ralph is praying for after already getting his cake.
Isner just lost, so I don't know what you can call his draw now

Simon is by far the worse player to watch (at least in top 50). He is the ultimate pusher.

QFT. You need to watch his match to understand what a 'pusher' means.

It's actually even much "better" than you thought, as Simon is through, but injured, and may withdraw before the next round...
