Default Head pallet grab

2 questions

- Do all full length (adult) Head racquets use pallets of the same quality?

- If so, wouldn't it be easy to just go to a used equipment store and get a cheap Head racquet for just the pallets?

You will not always be able to take the pallets off cleanly. Sometimes they break off, so the price of the used racquet must be cheaper than that of the pallets.

Quality-wise, I find that older Head racquets came with more solid-feeling pallets. But my experience is from a rather limited sample size.

I also have no idea if the low-end Head racquets use pallets at all.

The low end rackets don't have pallets.

The pallet quality over more recent years is about the same. Pallets are pallets after all.

Removing pallets from some of the older rackets can be quite difficult. I tried to take a set off of a Vision(?)
from the late 1980's or early 1990's and it had black pallets that didn't seem to want to be removed.

Believe me the thought has crossed my mind too and many of the cheap dept store Head racquets don't have pallets, just urethane molded on like other companies. I have come across brittle pallets on some 15+ year old Head racquets and those are more of a pain to get off successfully. Only ways to guarantee you get a good pallet is to carefully swap off of a more recent Head racquet or just buy them new.
