He wore the Blue Polo for his day matches at 2007 US Open. Unfortunately, neither the blue or the black polo were available for sale....

Well, when Fed puts them on, to him they are facing the correct way. And most people can tell a Nike swoosh when they see one, whether its upside down or not. I wear then like Fed does, because I like to see right-side up swoosh on my arm.

I really liked that shirt too, along with the red one. I wish I would have scooped one up!

Eh....that shirt was nice, and a very different color, but not a GSOAT contender in my opinion.

Why do people care about this stuff? I play tennis in a cotton t-shirt....or sometimes shirtless if it's really hot.

I think it's just tennis fashion to be honest. Many tennis players (especially myself) like to dress a certain way when they get on the court, and others don't really care. It's just a matter of preference.

Cotton clothing is the absolute worst type of material to wear for tennis.

After you start sweating it gets heavy, sticky, stinky, and soaked. Most quality performance oriented tennis apparel is made of some type of polyester (possibly blended with nylon and/or cotton).

It makes a huge difference for socks, underwear, and head gear as well.

EDIT: Judging from the location in your profile I am guessing you dont have a lot of days over 80 degrees Fahrenheit so you probably sweat a lot less than people in regions like myself. In the winter time around here I can get away with wearing cotton sometimes on the cooler days.

I like the feel of cotton, and feel uncomfortable in synthetic fabrics...believe me I have tried all sorts dri fit, sweatproof ....blah blah blah whatever marketing name du jour. If it gets really hot I loose the shirt. To each his own I guess. I Also think its kinda lame when you see guys sporting the latest gear every other week, and can't hit a ball to save their lives.

also, it says to people that you support that player, like how the baseball, football, hockey fans would wear the hats/jackets of their favorite teams.

I have tried loosing the shirt before but people are really snooty about it and start complaining. Since most of the time I am playing at some sort of tennis center and not a public park I cant get away with no shirt.

Yes it is pretty funny to see a Roger or Rafa dress up doll come out on court and then not know how to hit a ball.

I have to agree with you, it's actually pretty funny when you see guys in really expensive gear and can't keep a ball in play.

Miami 2009 shirt? Bay, sometimes.
NYC Day shirt? Bay, always.
NYC shoes? Don't think the ones with the specific New York skyline were available retail but the shoe (lunar vapour, flywire bla bla bla) were. Same shoe he wore all 2010 but in that black/blue trim colour.
