Mine measured 322 SW with an overgrip and dampener.

Have you tried those racquets?
tried the steam 99s. great spin, but hated the feel of the frame.. not for me. wilson and i generally just don't get along

have not tried the new speed yet, though it is on a list to demo. ive been swinging the donnay pt-924 pro ones lately and they are my go to right now... absolutely lethal

Donnay website specs are 100% pure fiction. That's really hard to fathom from company that has the cohones to measure and indicate the specs on every single frame that rolls of the line with a qc sticker. Demonstrating, all at once, an admirable commitment to QC, yet an utter disdain for anybody who knows how to read and click a mouse.

If the Donnay website listing of 318 is an average then there would be just as many 308's as there are 328's. No way is that possible. The TW listing of 327 for the average strung P1 is far more accurate.

327 is a far more accurate SW average, making Tballs 322 totally believable.

Hi Kal-El

Yeah man, same here. Killer spin, didn't like the feel. If they can make a similar string pattern in a frame that isn't a 70 ra, but somewhere like 62-66 ra, that might be worth a serious look. In the current iteration my arm cant take full poly, and I fear gut poly in a radically open pattern just wouldn't be practical.

Question about your pro stock frame(s), are they typical pro stock frames.. ie under spec with lead under the grommets? or just built heavy from the get go?

on what? the steams are a pretty decent topic of discussion right now and the pt pro ones are out of pro stock and not retail, so there wont be much mention of them i don't think.

suppawat and miami jack i think have probably hit with them but that is probably it as far as i know on the boards

i havent taken it apart to check for the lead but they are heavy. i believe heavy from the get go. i am going to weigh them this week and get exact specs. the weight / balance / and PJ are noticably different from the retail though...

Hey Kal

Not the Steams, the donnay pt-924 pro ones that you use. But I guess they are unobtanium

I'm not bothering with the Steams, I'll just mess around with the string patterns now that I've got the stringing supplies I was waiting for.

The PT-924 Pro One (Blake Pro) I have is 310g stock, 69RA, 97 sq.in, 18x20, 20mm, and dual core construction. In stock form, it's not so playable - low power, unstable. I tried several customizations. The best one is 365g strung - 5g in the head (3/9) and 25-30g in the handle. For string, the Weisscannon Dual Reality (22kg main, 24kg cross) works best for my flat hitting style. With this set up, it creates soft classic feel like Wilson Pro Staff, with nice pop, power, and plow-thru. I think the cross synthetic string makes the stringbed so special and old-school feel. It's pretty arm-friendly too. Try it.

Compared to Pro One 18x20, the Pro One 18x20 is more ready to go in stock form, easier to play, and works well with many poly strings. I am going to stick with Pro One 18x20 for a while.

mine seems a bit different. maybe mine is a newer issue where the lead is no longer necessary? Mine are all heavier than stock pro one 97 - or at least swing heavier. 67RA, 18x20, 20mm, and the head seems slightly larger than the stock pro one 97. they are solid as a rock though right out of the plastic bag.

either that or maybe mine is of a different batch for a different pro I am not sure. The PJ on your blake racket is different from mine as mine is painted like a retail one with a few differences, and a glossy paint job. I am trying to get some more info as to their origins, but the ones I have are absolutely beautiful frames.

anyone with a "lighter" Pro One want to swap racquets with me? I have a mint condition 4 1/2 with a swingweight of 330 and a static weight of 330 with overgrip and dampener.
