Well, the Pan American was off a highway (i think that's what you call it in America!), it was fine really but not as special as staying in Manhattan. I knew it was going to be pretty basic and it worked out fine for us really. Either way, getting to a grand slam is just such a great experience that really that's all that matters |

I am planning to take my wife and kid to NYC to see a few days of action. Staying in Manhattan is super pricey??
I need to start checking around. I'm planning on just getting day passes for us. It would be nice to be able to move around and see different matches.

hey guys - i'm looking at getting tickets for this years open as well but as a college student, the upper promenade is all that i can afford. are those seats really that bad? i've seen people complain about them on here but most of the comments on yelp actually say the view was decent.
also - i'm sure there are always ticket brokers outside the park trying to scalp tickets. anybody ever buy from these guys? are their prices reasonable? thanks
