There are no excuses now. He's 21 years old. Nadal and Djokovic won Slams at 19-20 years of age. Del Potro won the USO at 20. Which means Raonic is expected to start making runs at the Slams immediately! His game is good enough. His serve is incredible. Big forehand. Good touch.

Is he ready to beat a top 3 player and win any of the AO, Wimbledon or USO this year?

Yes, I thought I suggested this by the term 'domination'. He will take Wimbledon and US Open providing he stays injury free.

He's definitely looking amazing, if he keeps healthy and injury free I wouldn't be surprised if he made a great run in the slams, particularly at SW19 and USO.

I could see him making the semis of a slam this year perhaps. Maybe get into the top 10.

I dont think Isn..oh I mean Raonic will win a slam. He'll probably cause some upsets to some top seeds who are off their game, like a Soderling/Ferrer/last legs Federer over 5 sets.

But, you never know...couple of upsets at Wimbledon, could quietly make his way through the draw, bump into the annual Murray Wimbledon SF and trump him, then he's by the time you know it he's into the final of Wimbledon with Nadal unable to even return a second serve. Hour or two player, new Wimbledon champion.

Raonic vs Federer in the first round of the AO. Can Federer handle the serve.

Nah, he might get a 250/500 title, a few strong showings at MS events. Dunno about FO, he could very well enjoy it considering he stated he likes clay and we all know how fast that surface played last year (although it was contributed to a few factors). I believe Raonic will start his domination after the clay swing. No joke.

Based his body type and track record of injuries, I think he's going to be a Philippoussis-type who is a chronic disabled list waiting to happen which is going to shortcut any run at greatness.

What is this track record of injuries of which you speak?

I am hoping for big things, however the mental aspect will be the biggest part.

he will have to start moving better and sure up his ground game to beat Murray Federer Nadal or especially Djokovic. He won't beat them without being able to break serve, because they will break serve in a three set match.

A semi would actually be a great result seeing that last year Djokovic and Murray made at least the semis of all 4 slams and Nadal and Federer were in at least the semis of 3 out of 4. Federer is the most likely to miss a semi spot, followed by Murray I think.

I think he had hip surgery but not sure about anything else. Pretty sure he has had a few other issues.

I reckon he's going to pull off a big upset at one of the majors this year...

Not a good mover with a hip surgery. He better not get abused for it.

he's dangerous but majors are tough to come by. he served at what, 75% or 80% against tipsarevic, and still needed 3 breakers?

he's got some serious firepower but the backhand is erratic and he'll never be a brilliant defender. he seems like a good kid though, and it's fun to watch somebody plying some 90's style tennis on tour.

He won't crack the top 10.
