I suppose they're looking to stamp their authority early on, with the history these two teams have had over the years.

It does sounds like a bit of a strange one though. The score looks like it was pretty painful to watch, hammered by 33 in game 1? Ouch.

The Miami Heat were on point, and NY Knicks struggled. Foul troubles as early as the 2nd quarter (again, refs love LeBron James).

But I think even without the foul troubles, the Miami Heat was on lockdown mode.

I will say this, NY Knicks should not have JR Smith to handle the ball. He's not the best handler, and he makes horrible decisions!

Tom Thibodeau must be feeling pretty good about playing Rose until the end when the game was pretty much over.

It could've happened anytime. You can't really blame anyone, though of course hindsight's 20/20. This is just a sickening thing to happen. I'd feel the same if it was LeBron w/ a torn ACL. It's never good when stars go down. That being said, if any team can overcome this this year it's the Bulls. Not sure they can beat Miami w/o Rose though.

Of course, but I think the chances of tearing something gets increasingly higher as the game wears on. When the ligament goes, it goes.

I'm just saying with the game essentially won, let's take out the star players with 2mins left in the game, and eliminate the possibility of injuries.

Well we got absolutely destroyed today lol. Hoping this Dallas-OKC game is good, best chance of a first round upset on either side imo.

Well, looks like I spoke too soon. What happened to the Pacers at the end? It's like they faded away...

Way to hang tough Magic.

What do you think about the theory with the Pacers not really having a go to guy when the pressure is on at the end of games? Sometimes you need someone to take over a game and finish it.

The end of Dallas and Oklahoma was crazy, Durant does it to them again!

They do have a go to guy, in fact, I think they have two. Danny Granger and David West. Yeah they're not a Kobe Byrant or a Dwayne Wade, but Danny Granger and David West are still great one-on-one, play maker.

As far as having someone to take over a game and finish it, that's why I see the Lakers to be in the Western Conference Finals. If they win the West, I won't be surprised either.

I don't know what happened at the end, and to lose at home.

Indy's tough, but at the stage we were last season without a go to guy and not enough support to make up for it. They won't make it past 2R, though I was surprised to see them lose tonight.

The Lakers are flying under the radar a bit. When you have Kobe and the length of Gasol and Bynum, you're always going to have a chance. The lack of depth on the bench will probably hurt them, whilst i'm still not sold on their pick and roll defence at times. They don't seem to have their rotations down and the Spurs really feasted on it towards the end of the season.

I actually picked the Nuggets to take them in 7, but you can never rule them out.

I was surprised too. You have to give the Magic alot of credit though. I heard somewhere that no team have won a playoff series whilst missing their regular season top scorer for something like 25 years. Not sure if that's true or not, but they're really up against it if it is.

Nuggets are playing in 2 and a half hours. I really hope they can steal a win in LA, that would be great. Hopefully Lawson and Aaflalo can lead the Nuggets to a victory here. It will be a close series for sure. Nuggets have won 11 out of the last 15 games in the regular season, so they are playing pretty well

Tony Parker may be the most underrated player in the NBA. Never hear him mentioned w/ the great PGs in the league (Paul, Williams, Rose, Nash, Rondo) but he's more accomplished than all of those guys. Most ppl still think of SA as Duncan's team, but Parker's taken over the past few years. And he's still relatively young (29). Maybe b/c SA tries to trade him every year, lol.

Pleased to see Hayward having a decent game, I think he has alot of potential.

But yeah, not really a big surprise to see Parker and Duncan taking over. They've been doing it all season, that's the thing with these Spurs though, even if you take them out the game someone else will step up and fill the void.

Nuggets-Lakers game in 25 mins fellas. And yeah the Spurs don't get the attention they deserve. They play good old fashioned defense and they play great as a team. They've really been flying under the radar, ESPN never talks about them it seems

Should be a good one, I think the Nuggets have a chance. They have the highest ppg in the regular season I think? Will be interesting to see how they cope on the defensive end though.

They do have the highest ppg, but as you said, it all comes down to defense. I'm not sure who is guarding Bynum, but we need to keep him under control in order to win. We limited Kobe to 17 points (I think ) in the last regular season game, but Bynum just killed us.

Well I'm going to make some popcorn, check back with you guys later. Hoping for a tight game

Yeah, defense matters more than ever in the playoffs. Maybe they'll put "The Manimal" on Bynum
