Raonic definitely has top 10 and probably at some point top 5 potential. So he lost his first match in Rome on slow red clay. Even the best in the world lose in early round matches when they are established. Doesn't mean a thing that he lost here.

Yes he is future Top 5 player .

He is focused and his mind is sorted which i don't see in tomic.dimitrov, gulbis etc.

About the today loss then its even happen with Top players e.g. nadal lost dodig,Federer lost benneteau & Volandari, Nole & Murray many matches!!

Not a big deal ..he can make a move in RG.

I'm sure someone will bump when Milos first cracks the top 5.

Some people need to retire for him to be a top 5 candidate.

Relax. Raonic is only 21. Federer just broke into the top 10 at 21. A little too early to count your chickens.

Raonic is 11 in the race. Not bad for a 21 year old. He won't be a future dominating player I think, but he will do well, crack the top 10 and maybe the top 5. Not that farfetched.

I'm off to Monaco

Wonder if that's to prepare for Nice, or just for RG.

Top Ten bound first, he had better put on his climbing shoes with spikes and then get adjusted to what top ten life is, keeping others climbing up out of it and always getting to the quarter finals .

Cheers

For all that is holy, don't use apostrophes to pluralize words.

It's months.

No apostrophe.

Totally agree. He has the potential to be top 10-15 by the end of the year.

Sorry, the top 5 only has 1 opening in the next few years or so. He's going to have to battle it out with every player on tour other than MurDjokodalerer.

Yes he does have top five potential and he has realised that other players do 'jump one everything he hit' but then that is what the top five had to come to terms since they started the climb to the top

I don't know about top 5 right now. Let see him get to top ten. Pushing Monaco is not bad on his weakest surface. This points he get on Grass and Summer Hardcourts will be key for his jump to top ten.

Very bad performance from Raonic. Was expecting A LOT better from him at this stage. Not impressed and not happy with what I saw from him against a very poor player like Monaco who is not at all talented. 0-8 on BPs is telling stuff on how bad Raonic's return game is. Especially considering Monaco isn't even a good server.
