It was a shame that King had to sit out his last few games of his dual career because of injury. Great player. Really worked hard to make himself into a great #1 after being a mediocre 3 and 4 player for most of his career. I hope he can make a good run here. Although I also like Singh, great match either way.

Both would have a pretty tough test in the next round, but KU did beat Buchanan earlier this year, fairly convincingly.

EDIT: Well, there's the match. Good win for King.

2 Dawgs down, 3 more to go...Hoping Sadio has got a little magic left for his last year, especially to make up for the Quarters loss against Pepperdine.

First match was Tech's #1 vs Georgia's #2 and now we have Tech's 2 vs UGA's 1. What a coincidence. I imagine Spencer's got this one pretty well in hand.

McMorrow is going to be tough.

He does. Spir is the worst player in the field. He has moments where he will dump volley after volley after volley into the net.

^^
I wouldn´t discard him. In a good day he can beat good players, and he beat Jenkins about 1-2 months ago. So, we could say that Spencer has the edge, but I wouldn´t be surprised if Spir wins.

Illinois' Nevolo beats Pulgar (NC State) 6-1, 6-3. Next Illini up; Kalmanovich up against No. 1 Johnson.

That win is why he is in this tournament. I have no idea how that happened. I watched him blow a 5-0 set lead vs Meza to lose the set 5-7.
He also got routined by Blake Davis. He is a great doubles player though.

Alcantara fighting back!

The only two players that I was actually pulling against(Libietis and Pulgar) have lost now. Thats good.

Shame that Dome got such a tough draw. Dude can straight play but dosent get many chances vs big dogs at Cal Poly.

Sadio is taking it to McMorrow. Awesome.

What's up with Meister? Big letdown from the team tourney? I wouldn't have expected him to just get rolled over like this.

Doumbia closes it out. Nacho up a break over Zsiga in the 2nd.

Don't have much of a chance to win the individual title, but it's fun to see them all go as far as they can.
