Apparently he likes the Asics shoes, that's the only constant this year. But why sign him? I'm sure both Nike and Asics will take the free promotions. He thinks he's working one company against the other to sign him, but in truth neither really mind the current situation.

Must be my eyes failing me. I mean he's back in the top 25 I can't believe Nike hasn't resigned him (I guess they havent had much reason too yet). Think about how long James Blake was able to hold onto his nike sponsorship, even when he was essentially doing nothing and fading into obscurity.

Nike shirts and shorts, Asics shoes. I think the socks are also Asics. So Tommy gets a contract with Asics and loses it because he wore his nikes too often, and now he's choosing to wear Asics. He kills me, crazy hot German.
LOL, I thought of this same phrase while watching today.

I think Nike kept James because he fit into a niche that they wanted to market to and they didn't have a "top American" player at the time. But he wasn't performing so they let him go and he went to Fila for a while.

Asics just signed Jan-Michael at the end of June, right before Team Tennis. You would think they could easily sign Tommy, but he's burned them once so why would they take the chance again?

Haas just said after his match tonight against Djokovic in Miami that he does NOT have a clothing contract. So I guess those Nike shirts that he's been wearing he either buys himself or maybe gets some freebies from Nike or some distributor.

He has those yellow "Tennis-Point" stickers on his shirts. That's a German tennis retailer, so I guess they provide all his clothing, shoes, bags and other stuff.
But he does have a Head contract, right?

You think that would look better on him, right?
- Seems to me that he just doesn't care about how he looks on the court. And I say that's a valid statement to me.

Is anyone else liking the Haas fashion? Just a t-shirt and some shorts, all business and no flashy sponsor clothing.

on one hand its surprising but on the other hand i guess giving him a clothing contract isnt going to help a company sell more shirts... and he is 35..

FEE is quite right, Tommy has been changing shirts, clothing for years.
he is a difficult 1 because he wears what he likes, changes as to how he feels.
Tommy was always impulsive.

He has been faithful to his Head frame for quite a while & has had Roman working on his sticks. vsbabolat can be your authority here.

Happy for Hasi, a good Hamburger!

Well, I guess you can say that about everyone outside of the Top 4.

I like Tommy's look out there, looks regular guy like, black socks, colroful Asics, basic simple Nike shirt and shorts, nike cap. The simple look is cool actually for a pro, you see some guys at the public park dressed up like it's a show court match in a major on live TV. Always been a fan of one color shorts and shirt.

Didn't Haas try his hand at his own clothing company about five years ago? Can't remember the name of it but it didn't last long.

I'm LOVING it. I may start going fanboy and rock black socks with whites shoes.

Yup, same here.

Yes, he did. I believe it was called "Limited Sports". But I think the stuff was only sold in Germany. I thought the clothes looked really sharp and colorful. Too bad it didn't last and never expanded overseas.

Love the basic look. My "style" is very similar: black or white shorts, plain tee, and colorful shoes.

Agreed.

I just got a pair of the black/green asics GR4's that Haas is wearing. Any other pro who wears this shoe? I don't buy just because a pro endorses a particular product but more because of style and performance. I know a few Fed/Nadal fans who buy every iteration and colorway of the Vapor/Courtballistec, haha.

I'm all over the map when it comes to apparel/shoes. Whatever looks good and is on sale! I normally just wear a plain white New Balance shirt and random athletic shorts.

I didn't know about it until I saw him wearing it while I was watching the SAP Open final. They looked awesome so I did some research on TT and picked up a pair.
