Default Points should not be given for withdrawals

I feel USTA needs to update their points system as too many kids get free points when they don't deserve it. Let's say there is a draw of 64 in a Sectional Tournament. Player A loses first round and goes into the Feed In Consolation where the player he is suppose to play withdraws for whatever reason. Player A moves on to the next round in Feed In Consolation and loses. He is out of the tournament but gets 210 points from the withdraw. He didn't win any matches so why should he get any points. Player A should not be rewarded any points until he wins a round. It should be treated as a bye.

Of course if it was my kid that got the free ride, I would not complain

But seriously though, kids should not get points for not winning any matches in a tournament. This is giving them false rankings as they think they are better than they really are. Getting this free ride of 210 points is more rewarding than winning an Open tournament. Not fair in my opinion.

Let just get this right -
Player A loses in the main draw of a sectional.
Then, Player A wins the first match in the backdraw.
Then, Player A loses in the 2nd match of the backdraw.

He gets 210 points? What section is this?

210 points is not National points. It is local.

If you reach the round of 32 in NorCal sectional tournament, the points awarded is 210 if I am not mistaken. You can check that from the link below.

http://assets.usta.com/assets/635/15...fMay242012.pdf

Player A loses in the first round of 64 in the main draw.
Player A wins in first round of backdraw from withdrawal.
Player A loses in second round of backdraw.
Player A should not get any points because he technically did not win any rounds from playing.

Another example of what I am trying to say is:

Player A enters an Open Tournament and there is a round of 16. He gets a last minute first round withdrawal from his opponent due to (illness, injury, emergency, or whatever reason). He advances into the round of 8 which is the Quarterfinals. He plays the Quarterfinal match and loses. Why would player A be rewarded 70 points for reaching the Quarters when he did not play and win a match. It should be treated as a Bye and player A should have started his tournament in the Quarters and if he or she loses, they should not get any points because they didn't earn it.
