For those who listen to music before a match or during warmup, and good pump up song will get you moving and raise the energy level. What is your ultimate tennis pump up song / playlist?
My top choice is the classic Enter Sandman by Metallica. It starts off fairly mellow but builds up over the first minute or so as they add in the heavy drums and metal. Some other of my choices are Megalomaniac by Incubus (similar to Enter Sandman has an awesome build up intro) and Party Rock by LMFAO (just high energy the whole time). I'm curious to see what other pump up songs other people go with, or do you forego music for a different pre-match routine?

Seriously, any hairband songs from the 80's does just fine.

Side note, I was chairing a match at Charleston between Lindsay Davenport and Nicole Pratt several years ago, and I think the final score was 6-1, 6-1 for Davenport. On all the changeovers at Family Circle Cup, they play music over the speakers. Sometime in the second set they played, "So you had a bad day....."
Pratt looked up at me after I said time and told me it was quite a fitting song choice for her at the moment. |

I listen to sports talk radio, so I guess I get pumped up by sound clips and radio jingles.

Coldplay Paradise Peponi African Style PianoCello Cover The Piano Guys ft Alex Boye
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yH3QJ5E9K8 The tribal sound makes me feel like I am calling to my most inner primal self and the string instruments call to finesse and dexterity The piano is calming while the drum building thru out the song gets the blood pumping and the rhythm in my movement. at the 3:48 mark a sense a euphoria falls over me and I feel ready. Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps" gets my feet moving every time, on or off the court.

In the car on the way to the court, if by myself, Eminem's "Lose Yourself."

In high school, it was Iron Man for wrestling matches and Fire On The Mountain for tennis.
