Thought so. Case closed.
truth is - if you constantly trying to make me re-create reality-
i wouldn't mind if they have stopped it- both ways.
Murray could have finished his sh!t on Monday.. who gives a fudge?
and if it was Marcos, it was pretty much the same for me. so he finishes it on Monday. no harm to any side.

the point is, you ask me a question that cannot be logically answered, so...
again, case closed.

It was quicker to let Murray serve the match out at 11pm than it would be to stop the match at 5-1 and desperately try and convince 15,000 rowdy sports fans to go home at such a critical juncture.

We're not talking about a violent riot here, just thousands of people refusing to leave their seats.

Letting the match finish after 11.00 was the right call but I want Wimbledon to be mading these right calls all the time and not when it suits them.

Some people were trying to do that in Wales as well. Despite a few violent moments in the past, good luck trying to get a rise out of a nation of people who coined the phrase "I'll be there now in a minute."

Who gives a fudge? Well, how about the players, the tournament officials and the fans for a start! Making them all come back Monday just to see one or two points being played out!

So, if Marcos had been serving for the match at 40-0 and the officials called time on him, you would have been perfectly okay with that and would have made no criticisms of Wimbledon on here about it even if he then came back on Monday and immediately lost his serve? Fair enough, then.

I asked for your opinion if the situations had been reversed and you answered. Honestly I hope. So let's leave it at that then.

Marcos proved he's not "going far" worthy anymore.
Murray or not Murray, he basically thrown this match away with careless and stupid decisions.

marcos still has flashes of brilliance, and it seems he's in better shape now. but he hasn't played smart and within himself for while

Marcos has great ground strokes and a very good serve. Hopefully he can start focusing more on his conditioning because talent-wise, he is up there with the top 4.

He never had the ability to maintain concentration vs the top players, I think it's a sign of a lack of onfidence that he has the weapons to stop them. His form dipped seriously after the 3rd set.

That was probably a result of Murray's antics finally getting to him combined with the terribly unfair crowd.

How is the crowd unfair? I am pretty sure in a Federer - Murray final the majority would be cheering for Federer. They like winners and even they couldn't see Baghdatis winning.

Did you watch the match?? It was chock-a with Mards cheering Baggy's UE's. Disgraceful behaviour at such a venue against such a classy opponent.

Yes, that classy crowd-currying chronic racquet-smasher Baghdatis.

I find the length of this thread hilarious. One player whom the TWers irrationally hate beyond belief (Murray), and one player whom the TWers adore irrationally beyond belief (Baghdatis). I should have known an explosion was coming. I don't recall this back when Djokovic played almost the exact same match with the Cypriot last year.

Got it in a nutshell. Few people on here actually care about Baghdatis (a nice guy and a fine player BTW) , its mostly about anti-Murray trolling from the usual suspects!
