Default MS200 maintenance - Tension Problems

It's not super serious yet, but I am hoping I can fix the problem before it gets worse.

Right now the tension set on my stringer has to be reset after every have string job. If I set it to 60lbs when I start the crosses the tension will have slipped to 59.8 or something.

Is there some maintenance that I can do to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Is this the string way ms200 TT drop weight machine?

If its the drop weight I would suggest that you tighten the weight to the tension arm as securely as possible. And also lift and lower the arm using the end of the arm instead of holding on to the weight or touching the weight. Touching it could move it.

But I get the feeling you aren't talking about the drop weight machine.

Yikes! I'm thinking about buying one of these machines. How hard is it to calibrate?

If I were you, I'd post this question on stringforum.com because they appear to have stringway experts on there posting similar to the way TT has gamma experts on here.

That's my 2 cents other than to email their customer support. Don't these machines come w/ 10 year warranties?

My only disappointment is I sent them an email inquiring about purchasing one of their machines a few weeks back and haven't heard anything back.

Out of curiosity, do you use flying clamps or fixed? If fixed, which ones 98 or 92? Finally, other than this issue, how is the machine to use?
