Default Time for new clay shoes

Hey,
I joined a local club that has only clay courts and I am on the market for new shoes as my Topspin sharky ones have worn out and developing a hole on the inner side of the right heel area.
I don't want to spent money for the top of the line and really don't care for any Nike ones but came across on a good offer from Wilson, the Trance Impact in black-lime. I have a narrow foot but wear an elastic band bracing the right ankle so was wondering about their fit and also their durability. Or perhaps someone has another recommendation on the cheap side?

well, over 1,000 replies on a topic about a stupid Nike shoe that's not even available for sale yet and not a single one for a real issue...go figure.

Default Wilson Trance Impact

I got a pair of Wilson Trance Impacts in black/lime from TW. I liked them so much that I gave some custer feedback on the TW site, so check that for my exact thinking on this shoe:

Bottom line - good shoe for the money. I'm happy with them so far.

I play a limited amount on clay. I was looking for the better traction and tired of messing up my hard court shoes. Tried these based on price and limited options for clay shoes. I like my Lotto's and Nike Vapor's better in terms of fit. But the Wilson's are fine and have met my expectations.

Hey radioavenger,
I'm not familiar with your current shoe, but if you have narrow feet, steer clear of the Vapor 9. I've played for years, require a narrow last and never has a shoe fit as poorly as the Vapor 9 does. It does not have a performance fit at all. I went back to worn down Vapor 6's. For a true narrow fit look for the adidas Feather 2 before they disappear completely.

Good luck
