Anyone have any leftover (or cut out) Kevlar I can use on a tension calibrator for my stringing machine? Seems like a waste to buy a set just for the Kevlar and not use. Thanks!

You're getting awfully serious about this since you want/need kevlar. I think any string wrapped around enough would do but I'm a bit anal about things too so I get it.
I've got some I could send you from a racquet that needs restrung. Email me your address and I'll send it out when I mail the racquets I'm selling on that auction site. My email is dak95_00 at yahoo dot com

Having strung dozens of rackets with hybrid SETS that include PEEK or similar mains, I keep quite a few on hand---just in case. The main regular use might be for 'bridging' with a starting clamp when your string length comes up short.
I've also used leftovers to hang the occasional bird feeder I'd be happy to drop a loop or two in the mail if you are in the US. |

It does not matter what type of string is used. If you have a CP stringer the tensioner makes up for the stretch. So I assume you have a lockout. The lockout works just like a CP until it locks out. That is the point when you want to adjust you tensioner and not when it drops. Use any string you want.
