I love barricades and I don't think I'll ever use a different kind of shoe anytime soon. But, I've always worn them in a size 10 but with the 7s I had to go down a half size. I love the 7s, they fit my foot like a glove and they take the beating given a college tennis schedule. I have no complaints by any means but I was just curious if anyone else had to go down sizes?

I don't know about the new Adidas, but for example US Adidas 10 1/2 = perfect fit for me while Nike is just a little over the size. 10 1/2 is European 44 2/3 for Adidas and 45 sharp for Nike ).
You should look at the European sizing since it seems more precise, maybe they switched their sizing system. |

That's funny, I wore 11 in the B5, but 11.5 in B6 and B7. B7 is more comfortable.

Seems I have to size up for B7s. A US 12, where I'm an 11.5 in CourtBallistecs. I could maybe getaway with an 11.5, but no way could I size down for Adi's.

Never down, always up. But for some reason I wear different sizes in all types of shoes. Generally it hovers around 10.5, but with tennis shoes I wear 11. Two pairs of socks takes up a little bit of room and I like having room to wiggle my toes easily. Too small and I have issues with comfort, blisters, and jamming. Ever since I wear half-size bigger, never had any more issues and it's been like this for 3 years.

To repeat my earlier post, I officially need a 12 in Adidas B7s (my new favorite shoe), while I'm an 11.5 in all Nike CourtBallistecs.

Usually a 15. My B7s are size 16.

How narrow are the B7's?
I was fine with width of b2, b4, and b5 but the 6 was so narrow I had to go an entire size up and then it still felt tight. I have yet to buy b7's as I am afraid they are narrow as well.

Retlod- are you in the US? I noticed were I in the UK I'd have gone up a full size from my usual Nike, but it's only a half size increase in US sizes.

The B7's are wider than the 6 and this is probably why some people feel they need to go smaller to get a narrower fit. Generally speaking, you go a half-size bigger to get you a bit more width, so the idea of going down to reverse that is also somewhat true. However, this has a lot to do with the shape of your feet as well.
Don't go down too much in size... unless you want feet that look like Rafa "I squeeze my feet in tiny shoes like a fat lady" Nadal. |
