Default How much are the Full Time Tennis Academies?

Let's say Bollettieri's IMG academy (or the other big ones) for a full time High School student?

Why don't you look on their websites for their prices?

I looked on IMG's and I didn't see it. The places that I searched said "contact us." This is probably the best place to ask, I'm guessing people here would have a rough estimate.

Their 3 week summer camps are $5k though...

I'd figure on $60K per year.

Agree. Not my price range either. You' ve gotta understand they also attract Sheiks', billionaires', tennis federation's kids, etc from around the world who can afford the tuition.

I guess it's similar to the big boarding schools though (Deerfield, Berwick Academy, Phillips Andover, Phillips Exeter Academy, etc.)

Depending on the kid's goal. For my children, I'd rather save that kind of money for the top colleges they'll go.

^Yeah, the money thing doesn't "pencil out" when you spend $70k to get a full ride that saves you $50k.

^^^We like Evert a lot. An acquaintance once told me she liked Bollettieri for her daughter. The old thread below, you will find several people recommended Nick Saviano, Solomon, Rick Macci, and many others.
I also saw an ad on Tennis Channel that Sanchez-Casal academy is now in Naples.

Hope this is helpful.
Chalk might have more insight about academies in FL.

For that money you can hire Robert Lansdorp or Elliott Teltscher

If you want a great deal and you're looking for fun, lots of good hits, check out Bill Clark Tennis Academy. He has a summer program and always has a lot of kids. He's sent tons of players on to college. He's in Cooper City about 30 minutes South of Evert.

Before you send your kid to a tennis academy, just ask yourself, why? Why does your tennis player need a tennis academy?
Read this article please. It is about how to choose a right tennis academy for a player.
