Default They said if Fed won Wimbledon...

The TW servers would crash with the overboard gloating of *******s. I read it somewhere in match results I believe.

How odd, that the TW servers are being overloaded with *******s starting up threads worthy of GOAT trolling to diminish his win!

I give you some examples:

- The roof did it

- Nadal's knees (PRP didn't work this time for some reason)

- The Olympic gold is worth more than a silly 7th title & #1 ranking. Same guys were crowing about how Nadal's 7th FO meant he is GOAT

- Djoker was missing his egg

- Nadal's was unable to make the transition from clay to grass in such a short time. I suppose his appearance in the finals (winning one) previously were flukes.

Look you got to give to them....I though they would be butthurt and will reapear when Nadal does well at the US Open.

Then again this is Olympics season....I guess they are being Hopeful. Maybe a loss in Olympics will shut the ***** for a lot longer.

There are some *******s also being annoying with every thread about Federer winning Wimbledon or his number one weeks passing record.

somehow, a common enemy seems to calm them down. that skip payless thread is like an oasis in the punishing desert of tardlandia.

I also agree with your last statement. As a Fed fan, I wasn't so sure he could do it, so when he won it was more relief than exultation.

Personally, I feel uncomfortable with the boastful posts on both sides (plus the Noletards). It seems that people are unable to comprehend that things can & do change - so proclaiming your hero is the greatest or whatever, just makes you look like an idiot when said hero falters on his next outing. I guess this is a definition of "tard'?

OP while I agree that it's sad to see some folks trying to diminish Fed's accomplishments, I don't agree that there haven't been a lot of Fed praise threads. Just looking at the first page on this forum look at all the Fed related threads.

To be clear, I don't think there is anything wrong with being happy about your guy winning and even gloating a little as long as you can also be respectful of the accomplishments of others.

Personally I think most of those threads are cringeworthy, the worst part about Fed winning a big title (after a long hiatus) is that it draws the part of his fanbase that obsesses over stats and Fed being the supposed GOAT (a stupid title in itself as it's impossible to compared different eras).
