I was shocked when he signed for Stars though!

I did. They dont play defense and team discipline over there is close to nothing. Add on top of that an air of entitlement and they are an upset waiting to happen. Plus they have Matt Cooke so I hope they lose every game they ever play.

Not to sure about Jagr going to Dallas. Maybe put him and Whitney on a line together and call it the Sega Genesis line.

He (along with Super Mario Lemieux and that adorable skating penguin logo) was the reason I followed the Penguins back in the mid to late 90's. Jaromir also had the best hair in the league. Is he still trying to get back into the NHL?

+2. Flyers beat the Pens a few times in the regular season. And as you said, the Pens defense was porous.

I think the Stars overpaid (like a lot of teams for free agents!) - Jagr started off great - but by the end of the year he was out of gas. We'll see if he worked out or ****** off during the offseason.

Opening Night can't come early enough. Hopefully Donald Fehr doesn't **** it up...

Good posts, as another poster said Jagr started of with Flyers really good and found great chemistry with Giroux and Hartnell but faded towards the end of the season, BUT, having played in Russia for 3 years its gonna take some time getting used to playing so many games with few days of rest and also as Jags said you have to skate a lot more in the NHL compared to Russia despite smaller rinks.

He still had 55 points in 74 games, and 5-6 of those games he only had 1-2 shifts before his groins stopped him.

I think this is his last season in the NHL- he wants to reach 1700 points, try to reach 700 goals and 1000 assists before retiring and move back to Kladno.
