Would you have made a huge deal about this?

So I gave the stringer my racquets and told her to string it with NXT 16 at 53 pounds right?
She said okay so I left. I came back and got the racquets, was in a hurry so didn't check then (MY BAD!) Paid, left. Got home, looked at them and she strung them with NXT Control ):
I asked for a refund the next day, and got one. She strung them with NXT 16 that day.
What would you have done in the situation? I mean they're both NXT... the stringer seemed a bit uptight about it

You asked for NXT, but got NXT Control. It's a different string, so you do have a point. But can you honestly tell the difference between the two strings?

They are significantly different strings, so if you really like NXT, you should have taken it back.

Well that is the same string. It's different when there is polyester and nylon wrapped up in the same string as opposed to a multi.

This would never happen to me because I provide my stings to the stringer since I buy by the reel.

I can see you walking in and making casual conversation about "NXT 16 53" and then leaving. So, maybe, the stringer who was stringing wasnt exactly sure which one and made some sort of assumption.

I can see why the stringer is upset because you cant exactly reuse the strings after the mistake (like normal returns) and instead of taking 15 mins of labor, its going to take 30+ to redo.

Sounds like both of you were too casual. Here, you write down exactly what you want and they "tape" the bag of string to your racket and put it in the queue to be strung and they give you a receipt (claim check) to pick it up.

If I were the stringer, I would've owned up to the mistake and offered a redo if it proved unacceptable, or, at least a discount on the next stringing if it was still playable.
Costly mistake, though.
Perhaps she hoped you wouldn't notice.

I'm picky about strings, my shop does a garutnee that if they screw up its a free restring with the proper string!

Of course it matters, it's simply the principle of the matter. Even if it was prince syn gut pink vs. prince syn gut white, if you request a color which is available, you should get what you asked for.

Given his track record, I'm not buying that we've got all of the information. I could be dead wrong, but with all due respect, when what you're most famous for is posting lies, most people aren't going to be inclined to side with you so easily.
