None of Federer's stats are anywhere near the difficulty of the Calendar Year Grand Slam. Federer can't even win 4 slams in a row, let alone in the same calendar year. He can't even win one Calendar Year Grand Slam. He's not even in the conversation of GOAT.

Federer isn't horrible, he's just not in the GOAT conversation. Isn't it enough that he got Roddick as his main rival (or main rival in which he was successful against)? Does he really need bonus hype too?

Nadal gets his own records which Federer can't touch, because Nadal is better on clay than Federer ever was on any other surface. Hence Nadal has the single-surface records. How unlucky is Nadal that only one slam is on clay?

You're un fair. Roger has a very good record in Basel. Nobody ever won this tournament so many times. Roger is an unsurpassed goat of Basel.

Rafa's also unsurpassed in Barcelona. Roland Garros and Monte Carlo Masters do not count. Goatness is revealed in the minor tournaments on the indoor courts where ROger's hairdo is not affected by the wind/rain/sun/snow/hail/humidity/DRAUGHT/ETC.

Even though Federer is really good in the indoors, he is also equally as good outdoors. Maybe a lot of his success at the indoor events is due to him having an unlimited supply of energy, while the rest of the tour is actually tired at the end of the year.

Nadal is great on clay. Federer has the superior overall rcords. Have to see if Nadal can change that.
