You're saying that in fact the Wise does *not* rest against the handle of the racket then because the gripper moves beyond the handle. So the gripper kind of "brushes" alongside the handle but then gets past it. Is this always true? I suppose if you set up the Wise closer this might not be true? In the video it doesn't seem clear this would always be true. BB, are you also saying the racket does *not* come to rest against the Wise at all?

In my setup, the racquet does not come to rest against the Wise. I just strung a Flexpoint Radical today whose mains start at the head and had no issues with the racquet handle hitting the gripper when tensioning the first few mains. As Gaines said, the gripper just glides past the racquet handle and does not get in the way at all.

w_w, you described it perfectly and it never comes to rest against the handle. The gripper is always past the end of the handle when the pull is finished. I have the unit close to the turntable on mine(1/2"). This minimizes the length of string needed to reach from the frame to the gripper.
