I wonder if he'll give me a refund for the cash I blew on tickets.

See, that is the beauty of having multiple accounts.

With this one he is saying, that 2013 is Nadal's year, and some of his other accounts have his predictions even in the username.

Honestly, how desparate should someone be, to insist on being right at every cost?

I saw the whole match against Rosol, there was always a sense that something incredible was going to happen. Even when Nadal won the first set in that epic tie-breaker, usually the underdog needs to win that sort of set or they'll crumble and fall away. But there was never a sense that would happen. It was truly remarkable as tennis matches go, and though it was obvious Nadal wasn't right, he never acted up or made excuses for himself. He's a true champion, and he'll be back.

What possible reason could you have for posting that?

HC isn't exactly good for the knees, so he might as well take some more time off if he's still has issues. However, I see this becoming a problem in the future because it's obvious that his knees will not magically get better. They are more likely to get worse. He can choose to play fewer tournaments to save his knees, but at that level, you can't be "match fit" just by practicing.

I bet a lot of people got very excited when reading the title of this thread. Then they clicked on it, read some of the first posts, and... disappointment.

His knee was is a very bad condition since last year. He damaged it beyond repair in the attempt to capture 7th RG title. From now on, his knee will always be the critical issue. After a while, because he's such a great tennis player, he may be able to develop some new techniques to rise again. But his grinding way is likely not the ultimate ones to use any more.

Do you work for TMZ? Give me a break.

Nadal's knees have been a problem for a very long time. It's a chronic condition which worsens with repeated stress and becomes better with rest (and steroid injections to the tendons it seems).

This is how retirement starts in a lot of things.

Shame that Rafa can't play at Toronto.

I still believe he will make a deep run at the USO. He has not taken Toronto and Cincy very seriously since 2008 and still managed to play great at the Open.

Really? Because he's always the underdog at the WTF and he performs like crap.

He spent everything he had to win that French open and make history. he has nothing more left for this year. and i don't think he cares for the rest of the year either. He knows his knees better than anyone.

That's good. It would be a shame to lose such a colorful part of tennis so soon. Not to mention that it's always interesting to see how the greats deal with their post prime years.
