Default New trend for Cornell?

So, the word is that Cornell bypassed having one of their recruits taking the SAT due to a language issue.
The agreement among the IVYs is that all athletes must meet a certain academic criteria to be admitted,
and Cornell seems to be flouting the academic index, and ruffling many feathers.
A coach from another IVY told me that only Cornell would do this......
Wondering if others are hearing about this?

( And yes, I am leaving out the recruit's name ).

About 18 months ago, I was in the company of a freshman at an SEC school who spoke a few words of English. I think he was redshirting while awaiting eligibility, not necessarily a super high-ranked recruit anyway. I was wondering how his college classes were going, but I did not know how to ask him in his own language.

You're getting a lot of traction with this. Agreements are meant to be broken.

I can't vouch for their agreement, but many schools will have the 1 recruit per season exception. Also, when students come from foreign countries, many schools allow them to submit TOEFL scores instead of SAT.
