The greatest thing would be to rerelease the 630 with a 16x19 drill pattern. Wow.
You see since the IG Prestige Mid felt so much like the Prestige Classic 600 I was so hopeful that the IG Prestige MP would feel like the Pro Tour 630. But was disappointed. If HEAD can do it with the Mid why could they have not done it with the MP. HEAD got the feel perfect with the MID and missed the mark with the MP.

I should rephrase my previous post. I've tried every "modern" Prestige Mid except for the IG variant.

I have let a local 5.0, who uses the YOUTEK version of Prestige Mid try my PC600. He summed it up by saying: "This takes a lot of work (compared to his YOUTEK version)"

I want to try the IG. I really do. But something about the stupid looking, hipster-wanna-be clear CAP. I can swap out the clear CAPS, but I cannot swap out the circuit-board designs make me want to puke. It's tennis racquet, not a motherboard!

To me, a Prestige Mid should always be stealthy, simple, unassuming. It's even better if it comes in sparkly candy red, and DARK CAPS.

I stand corrected, the latter batches were indeed finished in the Czech Republic. Same with my LM Radical MP.

5 years with the i.Prestige Mid, then another 5 years with the PC600. Maybe I got used to that old-school solid feel of the PC600 (i.Prestige Mid too), but all the rest felt more flimsy compared to the PC600.

But of course, any Prestige Mid is still more solid than 90% of the frames out there today.
Sorry but can you tell me about the Prestige with Intelligence Fiber; did I really missed it? I mean, was it even a 600/93 sq. in.?

Yep, there definitely was an i.Prestige mid (600); I had one about 10 yrs ago... one of the better versions of this racquet ever produced. Also one of the only Prestiges that didn't use the candy apple red color scheme. I really wish I hadn't sold mine, but I had a lust for more power and a larger headsize at the time.

If you want to see one, there are a few for sale on the big auction site. Sellers are asking far too much for these though, IMO.

Okay, thanks for the info. Not really looking to acquire one, tend to skip in-between iterations but totally lost track or was away from tennis around the time of Intelligence Fibers...it must be the black with a little yellow I see being lugged around by coaches but it is evidently in bigger head size.

Also, it was a nice change in color scheme. Looked like a Terminator would use it.

I agree, but if you have guys like VSB saying it plays like the PC600, then who cares how it looks? I appreciate a good PJ as much as the next guy, but when I find a great stick I dont care how it looks. I know my yonex's are not the sexiest, but they look fine and more importantly feel like a million $$s.

PJs are really no big deal..no one notices that much out on the courts.

I say release the Sloane Stephens GROAT! 16/19 Prestige Mid. Have her endorse it. With that sweet face, ladies and gents will then not be threatened by playing with a mid anymore. Boom.

And of all the paintjobs out there to bash, the IG Prestiges are not one of them. They look great compared to 90 percent of what comes out lately, and the caps can be switched to the black if you so choose. And like PP and Vs said, they play like pure beauties. Control and feel is epic.

Agree..a 16x19 prestige needs to happen, as does the 16x19 MP, which they should just reissue as a "remastered" PT630 and please a large portion of tennis players.

In all honesty, as VSB has said many times, the best pro stock stick has been sold on TW for a long time - it is the dunlop 4d/AG 300 tour and it has classic feel and is light enough to be modded.

The Premier Tour 600 was a different animal. It was a true 600cm2 head size with 20mm beam width and 16x19 string pattern. It played nothing payed nothing like the Pro Tour 630 or a Prestige Classic 600 with a open string pattern. It was pretty bad. It was brassy and unstable. Nobody that I knew liked them. The guys I knew that were playing Pro Tour 630 and could not get paint jobs all switched to the Radical Tour TwinTube 630 candy cane.

Why re-release the Prestige Classic? The YT IG Prestige Mid is a very good racket and much better suited to the modern game. Of course the Prestige Classic is atill a great racket but things have moved on. Now, the RD7 would be another matter...

The IG swings lighter, has more pop and retains most of the feel. Frankly, it's still not enough power for me anymore but I'm an aging 5.0 who never was a very clean hitter anyhow (for a 5.0).

You put it very well. The IG YT feels as if the head is bigger and the string pattern more forgiving without losing anything in touch or precision.

Let's not let this thread die! We must show our support for the reissue of the PC600 and PT630!

I would buy at least two of the 600 and four of the 630 in either 3/8 or 1/2 grip depending on the specs.
