Default looking to hit in Woods Hole, MA

I will be in Woods Hole until Friday (Aug 24th) and am looking for opportunities to hit. I am 4.0-4.5, but would be happy to hit with anyone (as long as you can hit the ball back .

Unfortunately, I was not able to bring a racket here, so I would need to borrow one.

Didn't do much advance research on tennis opportunities in Woods Hole, eh?

How I wish for a post that says "will be in Fort Lauderdale for a week. I am 4.5 but would be happy to hit with anyone as long as you can hit the ball back. Need to borrow a racket." Just sayin'.

The annoying part is that I have two very decent courts 300 feet from my door, which seem to be never used, as a teaser.

Oh man, I can only imagine how frustrated you must be. Well, you can always practice your serves. Oh wait, you didn't bring your racquet. Evidently you were not meant to play tennis this week. Relax and enjoy the fresh air. Tennis can wait. After all, it's only a silly game of no import with regard to the serious affairs of mankind.

You might try calling the Falmouth Sports Center to see if they have any people on their calling list that they could give your name to (the leagues not being active during the summer). From what I can see, there aren't too many 4.0-4.5 players just floating around Woods Hole who don't already have regular playing partners.

Thanks for the advice, I think I will check with them.

I am pretty much happy just to go out and hit the ball for an hour or two. Does not have to be competitive.
