WC Silverstring... is one of the best for all-round mix of spin, softness, power and useful playing window.

I have not tried a lot, but my favorite smooth poly now is the PolyStar Energy.
My reasons: Pros- Nice, lively feel (when comparing to other polys), cheap, comfortable Cons- some users say that tension maintenance is not good but I cannot comment on that as I string my rackets in the low tension range (mid 30s) so have not experiences any fast lost of tension. Currently playing with textured polys now Thanks Howard |

Isospeed Baseline Spin. This stuff does everything well and is great in a syn gut hybrid. Being $40 for a 660 reel, it also works out to be dirt cheap. I'm currently trying others out--just finished SPPP, starting BHBR in a Forten hybrid--but I always seem to come back to IBS.
