Let me know how it goes. If you can find a 15 or 15l, that would be best.

Well, this thread certainly came alive! Just placed an order for some Signum Pro Hyperion and Tecnifibre Pro Red Code. I'm going to try them straight up as well as crossed with some Multi-Feel. Thanks.

I've pretty much settled on Kirschbaum Competition. I can play with it until it breaks, and it's reasonably comfortable if you don't string it up too tight. I like it around 50-52lbs. in my PSLs(18x20). I still try other things every now and then, but haven't found anything truly better all around. I have been using Spiky Shark quite a bit, but it really is not noticeably better than Competition and it's a bit more expensive.

Longevity (not wear but deadness), comfort and spin in that order.

Suggestions?
Unlike most poly users, I play about 40% of my shots relatively flat and the rest with mid to heavy spin to jam up my opponents - I usually don't break poly this way so I play them til they're dead & then cut them out.

Focus Hex was previously the longest lasting poly for me at 8-10hrs followed by Scorpion at 8-9hrs. But I've just gone 13-14hrs with WC Silver String - so far that is the longest of any poly I've tried. Usually most poly goes dead around 5-8hrs for me. It has tightened a lot, has lost power, and is about to get cut out, but its still playable and surprisingly still has good spin. Comfort is pretty decent for poly and spin is good for a non-shaped string. I mostly use poly/syn gut hybrids which IMO has no effect on how long it takes for a poly to go dead, but I suspect the WeissCannon strings might have felt too harsh (from tightening up) a bit sooner if it were in a full bed. Next up are my first Signum strings.

Ended up with a couple packages each of Tecnifibre Pro Red Code, Signum Pro Hyperion, Kirschbaum Competition, Tecnifibre Multi-Feel and Prince Premier Attack to mix and match. All in size 16. I need to get busy stringing as I'm down to one racquet with strings that aren't broken and the poly in it would probably be considered dead.

I know at least one half of the current string job is Scorpion and the other half might very well be Silver string! It was whatever 2 half sets I had left over from my previous string stock purchase. I don't have that info with me at the moment. Its been in the racquet a while now though and my serve seems to have lost some mphs the last couple matches.

Thanks for all the suggestions...the new stock should hold me for a good while.

Broken syngut cross is a good indicator that the main has been in there too long.
I usually do ItB as fullbed and use other polys for hybrid purposes.
The mains almost always break first for my poly/syn clients.
