I hope he sacks his dad....and get a disciplined coach in...Brad Gilbert could help for instance....whether provoked or not John's actions are unprofessional.

I'm glad it happened in Europe and not Australia. The incident occured at the heart of the pro game's constituency and at the height of the pro season where media attention will be great. If it took place in the backwater provincial surrounds of the Tomic's Oz hometown it could have slid under the PR radar of the ATP.

He was, it seems, trying to prevent John from attacking Bernard when he was head-butted in a cowardly fashion by John.
This is a clear test for the ususally spineless tennis authorities. He needs to be banned and Bernard needs to lose him as coach.

Could be the best thing that ever happened for Tomic, actually.
most of the tennis related controversies can be directly traced to his father. there was some talk on breakfast television (so it MUST be true!) abuot Tomic himself being banned for a year? anyone?
