We deserve the ACC title game. We are the best team in the ACC even though we played like CRAP last night IMO.
Did you guys see how Rashard easily ran through that entire secondary for his 2 TDs? We could have lit them up with better play calling. A sweep inside our own 1????Jimbo seriously needs to stop calling plays and establish Rashard as the #1 WR instead of doing this spread the wealth stuff that almost cost us a win.

Best team in ACC? Thats like Ohio St saying theyre the best in the Big 10. Both would be lucky to be a top 7 team in the SEC and even though I hate the SEC the difference in the quality between these conferences and the SEC gets bigger each year. Only the BIG 12 and the Pac 12 even deserve these guaranteed spots in the BCS this season.

It is interesting how FSU seems to have scoring problems on the road. That could be a problem in the BCS bowl they will inevitably get to. Clemson and FSU would probably be around 6 and 7 in the SEC. Clemson/SCar and Florida/FSU will settle that pecking order in a few weeks.

Maybe now the SEC should have 4 (or more) guaranteed spots? Until next weeks polls perhaps? Didn't the SEC suck rocks 15-20 years ago? Should Boise State be given an automatic bid each year (LOL) because they have been "so wronged" for "so long"?

There have been too many examples recently of lowly ranked, 3-4 loss teams from the ACC and Big East (and even Big Ten) making BCS games, while teams ranked in the top 10 get passed over. 1999, Syracuse, #15 with 3 losses 2000, Stanford, #22 with 3 losses 2001, Purdue #17, three losses 2005, Pitt, #21, 3 losses 2006, FSU, #22, 4 losses, loses to a Penn State team that finished with 4 losses and ranked #24 2009, #19 Va Tech, 4 losses, plays #12 Cincy 2011, Unranked UConn, 4 losses 2012, #23 West Va, 3 losses plays #15 Clemson, 3 losses 8 out of 13 years, we've had at least one BCS team that just didn't belong, and in most of those years, they lost the BCS game in question. Also, think about who the Big Ten will put in the Rose Bowl this year. Nebraska? Northwestern? Wisconsin? The odds of a 3-4 loss Big Ten team ranked somewhere between 15 and unranked is a real possibility this year. If you made a top 15 ranking a requirement, all of those teams except Clemson and Syracuse don't go, and teams ranked higher can go. Even in 2014 with the four team playoff, there will still be lower ranked conf. champs that pass over more deserving teams in the rest of the games. They've got to make it more difficult than simply winning a bad conference. |

Boise should have made it the last 2 years but scrub teams from big goy conferences kept them out then the BOGUS choice of Michigan to go the the Sugar Bowl was made by the big boys again. Why should you be guaranteed the huge payday of a BCS bowl if youre from a conference thats mediocre? Just because they have the power to keep a Boise out? I have no idea what the SEC sucking 20 years ago means with todays BCS. You just throwing that out there for the hell of it? I am guessing Boise and many other teams that are good today sucked 20 years ago also but that doesnt matter.

Maybe is should all depend on rankings. But it does create other problems. The bowl system is FAR more profitable than any playoff could hope to be.

It turns into a funding issue (ie; conferences want to be able to count on getting a set amount from bowls for their respective conferences).

Yea and instead of getting a big money bowl like they deserved last year, Boise ended up in a bowl with Pennies as a payout with a 6-5 AZ State who didnt even belong in a bowl. If Boise and others have to do with pennies then the big boys who dont belong in a huge payout bowl should have to as well. Why should they be guaranteed anything?

What happens if we beat UF in 2 weeks? I doubt you say anything. don't say such ridiculous stuff and then expect to be taken seriously in a public sports forum. FSU's biggest problem is they play down to their opponents. I believe they would be very competitive in the SEC. A simple knowledge of college football and recruiting in general reinforces my opinion. I wish we were in the SEC just because it would be a lot more fun to watch. By the way for anyone who is this clueless - we were top 5 in recruiting the past 2 years.

You're both kinda saying the same thing though. LSU's competitive in the SEC and still only 3-2 bc of how tough it really is. I can't imagine FSU doing much better than that all things considered. |

Im not getting chesty about anything. You really think we would not be in the top 7 in the SEC?
That is what I am arguing. Especially when we took USC, who was #4 in the SEC 2 years ago to the woodshed with a far inferior team to what we have now. Do you have any idea of how many of our players will go the league this year? It has nothing to do with the ACC. We have a lot of talent on this team. A ton. Just for the record we lost a guy named Brandon Jenkins..may want to look him up. We kicked off Greg Reid our best returner, and one of the best in the NCAA, and now our best RB is gone. And we lost 1 game so far. In all honesty I expect a huge dogfight against UF, but if we win that game, come tell me we are not top 7 in the SEC please so I can laugh at you. I would love to be on the SEC. The ACC blows. I don think anyone disagrees with that. But with our heritage and recruiting pipeline to say we would not compete in the SEC is just shameful ignorance. the fact that we finish top 5 in recruiting outside of that conference is a massive victory in itself. If we were in the SEC we would be top 3 every year easily.

Yea right. I love how anyone who disagrees with you is clueless. FSU knew better than to join the SEC a good while ago because they knew that playing in the SEC meant those 11 win seasons were over. You can believe what you want but the SECs top teams year end and year out would destroy you guys and beating FL this year wont mean you can stay within 20 points of LSU, BAMA, or Georgia. Mizzou fans felt the same way you did to begin the season and now theyre making shirts there to remember their one SEC win this season and that was against Kentucky .

But UF BEAT LSU. I dont understand your logic???? You are really comparing us to Mizzou? Do you even follow college football? This is why you are clueless. How many first round picks does Mizzou have? How many players from Mizzou will get drafted?
Do you see how I at least back up my opinion with tangible facts while your best rebuttal is to compare us to Mizzou? LOL. You are hilarious. You are right, we have 6-8 NFL prospects on our defense but UGA will beat us by 20 points..amazing. Mark Richt would laugh in your face for posting something that absurd. Do you watch college football? Do you remember what all the SEC fans said about us before we beat the crap out of USC? Was that some kind of fluke in your mind or did you just start watching the sport this year and need to get up to speed?

Big ****. Auburn was also and look at what they are doing in the SEC. I would love to see you or any team go thru a 4 week span of South Carolina, LSU, Bama, then Georgia. Then get a easy game vs say TN or Vandy then play FL. How your not undefeated with that schedule is amazing. hell the team that beat you (NC State) got destroyed by TN and TN is winless in the SEC

I know you watch more football than anyone on the planet so you have to have heard of Blaine Gabbert and Aldon Smith. Both Missouri players taken in the top ten in the 2011 draft. I know thats a long time ago so you may have forgotten about them with all the football you watch

Id love to see it to because it would be fun to watch. I hate watching Duke, Wake..etc.
Look what Auburn is doing, you mean rebuilding after losing a once in a lifetime QB after winning a NT TWO years ago? LOL. They will be back. I want to make sure I get this..you can argue that this team beat that team, so this team is better...but when I point out the same thing, it goes unnoticed? Just trying to figure out how your logic works. So far you listed 3 teams who are better than us in your biased mind. You need 4 more..keep going.
